SG6A: 6A Seagrove Villa

Very clean. Easy 5 minute walk to great beach. Bed was super comfy!

Not sound proof. Could easily hear upstairs neighbors walking around, flushing toilet, etc. Deck and deck furniture was not up to same par as interior re: cleanliness.

The unit was in a quiet area, and it was a convenient, short walk to the beach. There is ample seating, and the deck area was great for relaxing.

The shower floor was very dirty. We could not shower without wearing our water shoes. (We did not contact anyone concerning this problem, but it was very noticeable and would've been hard to overlook during the previous cleaning.) The furnishings are low quality and not up to standards for the price. As others have mentioned, the floors are not level.

Located inside Wild Dunes resort property made for a very convenient stay as we were in town specifically for a tennis tournament. This particular unit was very close to the tennis facility (car ride) but not particularly close to the community pool area and beach access so a bit of a walk needed (just follow the other people walking with chairs, coolers etc). Pool area is very nice, most people using the pool area did a decent job of keeping their kids courteous of others. Beach is very wide at this location so plenty of room to spread out. Plenty of different restaurant options quite close by car or bicycle. It'd be great if there were bicycles available to renters, even for a seperate fee as the area is very scenic but walking to different nearby venues is a bit far to be a means of getting around, therefore, car ride everywhere and parking can be very difficult (limited to not available) to come by at the various venues (restaurants, sports areas, beach access, etc). Washer and dryer very useful and worked great - included in the rental is one single use packet of laundry soap- appreciate the generosity with the soap (tongue in cheek) - two packets would have done the trick, but no,- had to go to store and buy the only size available which was 'full-size'; waste of money as not a really great way to transport mostly full jug of soap back on the plane!

A small amount of coffee + coffee filters as well as more cleaning /paper supplies would be basic upon arrival, even an inexpensive hotel provides these - believing these essentials would be provided, we past by the only store on the island without stopping on our way to check-in, therefore, backtrack return trip to the store required, inconvenient especially for a higher end rental but doable. Bed was comfortable, some other amenities in the master bedroom were absent, broken or not working correctly (hangers, dresser handles, tv/cable, etc) Items were corrected mostly on the 2nd day after making a call but day of arrival no such service available. Again, not in keeping with a premium product expectation. Outside stairs and landing to the condo are very dirty, had a cheap motel feel on initial entry up the stairs to the unit. Unit was pleasantly decorated/ functional enough for our purposes. Easy to tell this unit is rental only because the kitchen organization (i.e., location of silverware, pots, pans, dishes, glasses made little sense for a functional layout. Spend al lot of time trying to locate things because there not in 'normal' locations (e.g., pots near the stove and glasses near the sink, etc) On our last day i did come across a coffee maker tucked back in a cabinet and some scrunched up filters in a random drawer. Not being able to locate these items on day 1, we just bought instant coffee and boiled water in an open pot i located in another cabinet stuffed in a cabinet across the room. Again, if this was a 'lived in' unit, a more functional array and distribution of amenities would of course exist.
