The Nest - Thatched seaside country cottage for two

Beautifully quaint and cosy. Rural and peaceful. Very comfortable.

It was lovely and clean, nicely decorated and in lovely surroundings. 10 minute walk in to the village where there is a little shop and a nice pub with good food and a welcoming atmosphere. Near the sea, a nice fishing town with nice shops and pubs. Our privacy was respected by the owners who lived next door although we heard them coming and going. The chocolate and prosecco were a lovely welcoming touch and the owners were really lovely people. The kitchen was really well equipped for 2 people. Was lovely watching the rabbits in the field out of the window. Thanks for our fantastic stay!

We weren't expecting the cottage to be right next door to the owners own home. This was fine with us but may potentially put someone else off. There was not a washing machine as stated which I was kind of counting on. The cottage felt cold at times but we also had our own duvet from home which we used. There didn't appear to be any Central heating and just a small electric fire heater which didn't heat the whole room effectively. The bed was quite small but I guess a king size wouldn't fit in the space. Was fine for a couple of nights though.

Lovely cute cottage in a peaceful quiet setting. Perfect for a weekend break away from the city. It is within walking distance from the local pub with really good food, and another few good places 10-15min drive away. You are welcomed with prosecco & chocolates and the lovely hosts.

This little cottage is absolutely beautiful. It has all the comfort that you would have at home. Dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker. Bed was so comfortable. Absolutely spotless. Garden has sun loungers, and you can see the horses and sheep in the field. The local public house does the best food. Your in the middle of Dawlish one side, and Torquay thee other with other towns around, so much to do in the area so is a great location.

Can not find anything at all.

Unfortunately bed mattress wasn’t to our liking had to leave a night early

It was so cosy and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Eve is really lovely, providing us with some great tips on where to eat and visit. Little touches like the bottle of bubbly and chocolates on arrival are really nice touches.
