West House Mews C

Good location just off the A1 near the metro centre and close to Beamish for our day out. Good sized property with accommodation split over 5 floors. Large family living room and large kitchen were great for all our family to gather. Good water pressure in the shower, handy that there is a dishwasher and washing machine in utility room off the kitchen. Easy access with key safe on arrival. Host was excellent when asked to boost heating which made property lovely and cosy.

Some wear and tear in the 1st floor bathroom. Dust in extraction fan and wobbly toilet seat. Overall, rest of property was very clean and in good order so this was obviously just an oversight. Only 2x toilets in the property, 1 top and one bottom. Although this was probably only a challenge for us with 5 children and 5 adults. If upgrades are planned in the future finding space for an additional toilet/shower room.would be hugely beneficial. That we were only staying a couple of days - we will most certainly return when next in the North East.

Needs tap in bathroom fixed need more utensils in kitchen

This is the second time we have booked this property, as a family but travelling from London, Scotland, South Yorkshire and Manchester. Last time was for a Christmas get-together, cooking a festive meal in the lovely spacious kitchen and playing board games in the comfortable lounge, this time enjoying the sunny balcony and secluded situation and pleasant views. Half an hour from coast and and several interesting museums. It is an easy place to relax, owners on hand for any queries, everyone loves it, we will be back again.

I wish we had noticed that there is a bbq for guest use! Also, we needed to ask for the cafetières but they arrived within minutes.
