Character Cottage Nr Betws Y Coed.

A small cottage of immense old character & quirkiness, clean & simple. Watch out for the headroom into the 2 single rooms, they are low so Adults would be required to bend down a bit, the double bedroom is open plan upstairs so you into the bedroom straight from top of stairs and the 2 single rooms are also entered off the main bedroom. The toilet is downstairs under the stairs so those in all rooms do need to access the main bedroom to go downstairs. As I said, a very old, interesting & quirky cottage :o). Small cosy lounge with dining table for 4, small but useable kitchen with all necessary pots pans & crockery etc.

There were just a couple of unforseen problems. 1) The new wood burner, the flue wasnt taking away the smoke & air circulation didnt appear to be functioning. i informed the owner Ceri about this, she advised that she would get the installer back in to rectify the issue. Hope it did get sorted and now working wonderfully for the next guests. Overnight, there was a leak in bathroom from the sink area, we had to put down towels. Again I informed the owner Ceri who advised she would get a plumber out to repair it. All in All we had a great time at the cottage and would definitely recommend it if this type of accommodation appeals to you.

Choice of tea and coffees, milk in the fridge made us feel really welcome.

Quaint little cottage

The location was fine, once you found the cottage..

We got to property and needed to light the fire, the kindling was daWe got to property and needed to light the fire, the kindling was damp and not enough of it, contacted the owner and they said there was more kindling in shed. This was also damp. The two heaters are not enough when it's below freezing. We ended up driving to local petrol station to buy kindling and more logs to warm the house up ...

Very Quirky

Everything was fine

The cottage had everything we needed. It was cute and comfortable and made a perfect base for our short break. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The children absolutely loved the little doors into their rooms.

No complaints at all

Absolutely adorable house, so beautiful with the log fire and beautiful views of the area. Love the attention to detail, perfect little getaway will definitely be back, thankyou! :)

Cute character property

Despite the host knowing that the log burner was out of action a few days before our trip, no-one had thought to put the hearing on so the house was absolutely freezing on our arrival and took a long time to heat up. No coffee pods for the machine - a pet hate of mine when a coffee machine is listed as one of the items in kitchen.
