Double Room & Ensuite in Glenfield

Clear check in instructions provided by the owners and the room was clean

The bathroom was a bit small

Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely welcoming hosts, very clear instructions were sent to email but as they were there they showed us how to enter, it is a very convenient side entry with a lock box that houses the key so entry was streamlined and very easy! The room was very modern and very clean and the host did say to us that if we needed anything for example the heating turned up, the quiet time was 9pm and you couldn't hear a pin drop from the hosts after 9pm so they did stick to this so we had loads of sleep, the room was also very spacious!! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend anyone else too!! Thank you so much!!

Very friendly and helpful owner who responded very quickly to message requests and questions made this a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The accommodation is nicely decorated in a modern style and has everything needed for one or two nights including convenient free parking and free wifi. It's in a nice residential area and very conveniently located. There is a Tesco Express a short walk away and also a Dominoes pizza and other shops just a couple of streets away. There is a kettle in the room and a decent shower. If you need the heating switched on just message the host. I asked for it to be on early in the morning and this was easily and quickly arranged on a timer. The room and bathroom heat up quickly. The private entrance is nice as you don't feel you are disturbing anyone by going out.

The bed is quite hard but there is a mattress topper. Having said that I slept well. It is adequate for one or two nights although might not be everyone's preference.

Bed and bedding very very basic and uncomfortable. Boiler tripped when I arrived. After 1.5 hours of uncomfortable complaining I finally got heating (5 degrees outside an inside to start with.) No sound insulation to main house so baby crying and loud moving around of occupants. No bedside shelf for tea, water, alarm etc. Everything on cold floor next to bed. No blinds so if curtains open everyone can see right in as path is adjacent to room. Had to stir tea with toothbrush as no spoon or stirer No shower gel, just hand soap on small basin. Part of room used for entrance full of junk and conversion materials. Half a toilet roll Etc

The room and bathroom were clean

No reception on arrival, had difficulty in finding the room. Heating was erratic with long hours of cold. Room very basic with the barest minimum. Bed was not comfortable. Did not have a feel of being home away from home.

The bed was extremely hard (even with the new mattress topper which was extremely thin more like a bed sheet). I wrapped the duvet 3 times to lay on it and unfortunately had an incredibly sore back from the moment I laid down. I had to leave for another hotel to get any sleep. I have informed the host and if a new mattress is put in place this room would be great.

1 night stay. VERY HONEST AND TRUTHFUL REPORT. HOPE THE OWNERS TAKE NOTE. Best were. Easy and clear key lock access. The Converted Garage was clean/tidy and Decor looked nice. There was a work table for business person with a comfy seat. En-Suite Toilet Shower in general was better than most tbf very clean. There is 2 jets a rain and side one that both work and It was Hot and easy to control and the power was very excellent. 1 large daylight window, easy to open. Quite area narrow road and few shops walking distance. No yellow lines. VALUE FOR £s maybe yes. But I'd prefer lots of improvements and pay a bit more. PLEASE SEE DID NOT LIKEs.

Mid November visit and the Converted Garage was Freezing cold on arrival. Contacted host who said the 1 radiator was set on time and temperature control and that's it. *Was offered no solution* Radiator appeared to come on for 10minutes then off again randomly. The DESCRIBTION. Clearly says and indicates in 3 parts. Parking available on site/premises. Could not park on premises. 1.Host asked me not to. 2. Stated Gardeners due in morning and need space (no gardeners arrived). **No Tv** *** No power or USB port points next to bed*** its a Converted garage to a house side. I Was Woken by a Baby crying 5.30am in the morning. So no sound proofing installed house to garage conversion. Very Messy entrance and driveway. **See pictures** Bed is very low- Has a rock hard mattress with zero springs and sits against a wall and is a small double size so Was Very uncomfortable. Top cover was very thin. Bathroom towel heating rack not working and towels where very small. Although it's a very good ensuite room. it is also very small including the shower cubical. WOULD I return maybe, but summer time only tbf. Terry.
