The Coral Guest House 1 Mile from Winchester Market

Hard to locate..it is literally a house in a street renting the bedrooms. Thers no sign pointing it out... Not worth the price per night as i think i hotel os much better for that price.. Uncomfortable floor boards creek beds noisy Insects flies moths in upstaires hallways as light is alwyas switched on. Unsafe. Door was unlocked over night each night amd not locked at all..

Nothing at all.

The floor and the bedding was dirty, and the trash was not cleaned when I moved in. The bathroom had no lock on it. Also, the sound insulation within the property was non-existent.

The property address was advertised as “1 Shepherd Road, SO23 0NP – only the postcode is correct. The name "Coral Guest House" never appeared. The front door didn't lock. There were no notices instructions. There was no owner/manager/person to see us in. There was no way to tell which room we had booked. The room itself was spartan, dirty, the bed linen was unlaundered - it had been slept in. Do not stay here - it's dirty, and unsafe.

Clean with a good kitchen

No host to meet you, only a confused person who was already staying there. Lack of toilet roll. On what looks like a council estate.

The place was easy to find. Parked right outside.

Nobody present when I arrived (front door of house unlocked and house empty) and didn't see a single soul (except one other paying occupant) when I was there. Unable to get anyone to answer the phone number given despite multiple attempts to contact someone, or indeed anyone. I was out for the evening (one of the reasons for my stay) and when I returned at about 11pm the front door was now locked. I managed to wake up the other 'guest' to let me in; he asked why I hadn't used 'the code'. What code, I asked? Seems he meant the 4-digit numbet to open the key safe on the wall by the door. No-one had mentioned 'the code' (which the other 'huest' had by now told me), key safe or anything else. The worst of it was, when I arrived back at the same time on the Saturday evening, there was no toilet paper at all in the bathroom. I will not go into details as to how I managed to cope with that situation. Suffice to say that a subsequent search did not provide me with any. I could not wait to get away from this ghastly place on Sunday morning.

I didn't like anything about it. The wrong address was given on Booking.com. When I did find it there were nobody there. The front door was unlocked so I went in. There was no key for either internal or front door so no security. I called the phone number and the person said it was "self check-in" and that he'd have to call his partner to find out about the key and call me back. I didn't receive any call back, and so I couldn't stay cutting short my trip to return to London.

Lousy location on a council estate on the outskirts of Winchester.

Need some toilet roll enough for the guests please,tea and coffee if possible. I like this place as it very close to city centre,bed is clean and comfortable.

Nothing I dislike apart from one of the guest was very noisy and inconsiderate slammed every doors in the house.

Wrong address. It is number 3 and not number 1. Bathroom was not clean .

This guest house is hard to find ( number 3 not number 1) But wasn’t very nice! We had our own room and a communal kitchen, there was no one in the house at the time so we had it to ourselves! Very nice and comfy bed :)
