The Cove Gili Air

Un disastro, siamo scappati dopo la prima sera solo perche’ non abbiamo trovato nulla per andarcene la sera stessa. Camera piena di insetti e animali vari, senza alcun insetticida fornito, forniti solo 2 asciugamani e set completo sollecitato varie volte, mai arrivato. Luce elettrica saltata in continuazione, outdoor mai andata (non abbiamo potuto caricare ebike, unico modo per muoversi sull’isola). Staff gentile a voce ma non ha risolto nulla. Impossibile aprire le valigie, secondo loro vanno aperte nel bagno all’aperto con qualsiasi animale presente in ogni dove. Un Incubo.

Tutto, peccato perche la location ha il suo carattere.

A fun idea – an outdoor shower. The location is peaceful, with plenty of open space and nature around. A private area with a small pool. The hotel has a cozy and beautiful style.

You need to be careful when closing the room door, as it can shift and leave a gap to the outside. There were water deposits in the shower. The kitchen area is a bit worn. We had difficulty finding our way back to the hotel at night—Google Maps led us through someone’s private property, and it was quite confusing to figure out which path to take to reach the hotel.

The host was so rude and try to steal our money by trying to to renting bikes

It has potential to be a good villa but there are things that make it not worth it

1- the villa was really small, there was no space to leave the luggage (we had to open our backpacks in the floor). They should add a small bench to at lease open the bags. 2-the villa is in the center of the Gili Air and a lot to after sunset there is no light in the streets so you need to make a 15 min walk in the dark through the wood. There were cows in the way and also local people houses. You needed to use the lantern the whole walk. Would not recommend going through that. 3-the bathroom was open in the shower which lead to a lot of mosquitos and insects to come into the villa. 4-the bathroom was too big which was unnecessary as it was open and it was too hot , so you did not spend time there. 5-the villa is in the center of the Gili Air and a lot to after sunset there is no light in the streets so you need to make a 15 min walk in the dark through the wood. There were cows in the way and also local people houses. You needed to use the lantern the whole walk. Would not recommend going through that. 6- when we arrived to the villa the second day at 5 o’clock the man who runs the villas was inside with the street door open and our stuff inside the villa. He was watering the plants but he should have done it in the morning when he cleans the room not in the afternoon when we come back to the villa. He should not get inside whenever he wants, our stuff is in there ….

Die Unterkunft war eine tolle kleine Oase mitten auf der Insel - wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dort total genossen ☺️ Wir wurden am Hafen von den super sympathischen Mitarbeitern Juna und Fendi empfangen und sie haben uns zur Unterkunft begleitet und unser Gepäck mit dem Roller transportiert. Fahrräder konnten wir für 50k pro Tag pro Fahrrad unkompliziert über Juna buchen, welcher während unseres Aufenthalts für alle Fragen parat stand und uns super Tipps gegeben hat. Man kann auch unterschiedliche Ausflüge direkt über die Unterkunft buchen. Am Pool gab es zwei sehr bequeme Liegen, es wurde täglich nach Reinigung und einem Handtuchwechsel gefragt und alles wirkte sehr gepflegt. Lediglich die Amaturen in der Dusche könnten mal erneuert werden, aber das hat uns nicht weiter gestört. Der Stauraum im Bad war für uns absolut ausreichend und auch neben dem Bett war etwas Platz für Gepäck. Am ersten Abend wurde uns, wie es auch schon in einer anderen Bewertung steht, mitgeteilt, dass der Pool über Nacht mit einem Mittel gereinigt wird, da dieser etwas trüb war. Wir konnten ihn aber am nächsten Morgen wieder ganz normal nutzen und er wurde durch das Mittel sehr klar.

La villa en si es espectacular, tranquila y muy limpia.

Por el precio que es respecto otros hoteles de indonesia, hay algunas cosas a mejorar. Las indicaciones y camino hasta la villa se podría mejorar mucho (por la noche, hay que ir con literna todo el rato) la cocina está toda oxidada, la ducha también. Y el personal, bien, pero todo el rato intenta que le contrates todas las actividades y demás a ellos, a un precio muy superior al que cuesta en la isla en general.

La villa est magnifique, originale, la cuisine bien équipée (plaques, cafetière, bouilloire, mixeur, mais il n'y avait pas de décapsuleur), le jardin est super beau et agréable

La localisation dans les terres est calme mais un peu loin des commerces à pied (en velo aucun soucis) Pas de chance pour nous, une énorme araignée d'est faufilé jusqu'au plafond, attention a bien fermer les portes (salle de bain comprise haha)

Exactly like the pictures - clean, luxurious, comfortable and a quiet retreat in the heart of Gili Air. Fendi was very helpful in giving us recommendations for the island. There is also a superb coffee shop practically next door which serves exceptional breakfast/brunch.

Its a bit secluded and getting there involves walking along some dark roads/a small field. Having a flashlight along at night is recommended.
