House was clean and tidy . Very good position for getting into Durham.

Not enough seating if there had been 4 people only 1 sofa. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility as toilet downstairs.

Location was fab for everything we had planned to do during our stay. Kitchen was lovely and modern and very clean. Coffee machine and complimentary pods was a nice touch and we enjoyed using this. Parking was fine each day we had a space opposite the property. Neighbours are friendly! Located very close to little sleepy town with an Aldi, Lidl and Greggs and independent bakery. 20 mins to Durham, 20 mins to Beamish, 50 mins to Newcastle.

We found the property to smell very strong of smoke upon arrival and I couldn't get rid of it even after purchasing 2 air freshners myself. I did find cigarette butts in the window of the main bedroom. The curtains in the main bedroom are yellow and do not provide enough shade from early morning sunshine which is a shame as it was light from 4am every morning. I also found the property to be grubby in places which is a shame. There is a white rug in the main bedroom which is heavily stained and makeup marks on the wall. There is a lack of mirrors in the house but that's a minor issue. It appears there is a tap in the bathroom that is still wobbly (this has been reported in other reviews). The main road is noisy at all hours and we were woken by sirens most nights. I think we were just unlucky with this.

The location was great for the commute to the site we were working on. The place was quiet and in a good location to get some shopping so that we didn't have to eat takeaways every night. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for a weeks stay.

Convenient for visiting a family event. Within easy walking distance of the town's amenities. Even though the house is next to the main road, it is quite quiet. The house warmed up really quickly as is very comfortable.

Took a while to discover where the cooking utensils were stored. The bathroom sink tap needs attention as it is loose, I tightened it up as much as I could.

Location good central position for visiting Hartlepool, Beamish, Durham & Barnard Castle.

We didn't like being greeted with an overflowing rubbish bin on the path, which we had to pass by every day, a pile of used cigarette butts outside the back door & a Welcome pack consisting of a chocolate bar, small packet of shortcake biscuits & a packet of tissues which must have cost all of £2 from Lidl. Then to find that other than a knife block there were no other cooking utensils provided not even a teaspoon! The electric fire did not work, the hot tap in the bathroom was loose & spurted all over you & the plug in the bath minus it's chain was difficult to remove. The hob, oven & grill pan all needed a good clean but as there were also no cleaning products provided, other than a filthy mop, that again proved difficult. The bedrooms never got warm even with the heating on & smelled musty and you could feel the springs in the double bed since the mattress needed replacing. I cannot comment on the pillows since luckily I took my own. We were provided with 2 inches of washing up liquid, 1 and a half toilet rolls & one tea towel to last the week.

Location was good for visiting family, got parked outside of the property,good shower quite area

Having to fill in additional form and send photo ID and an extra £100 deposit still waiting of it been releases been held for 6 days so hopefully get it released tomorrow, haven’t come across this before with booking.com
