"Amazing location, breakfast facilities lacking"

8.0

The location is great. A short and easy walk down to the most beautiful beach. The room was comfortable. We came in a heatwave and found that the room stayed pretty cool (although guests on the other side of the building said their rooms were hot). Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast situation needs addressing. We were told that we could make simple breakfasts of cereal or toast downstairs in the mornings, but we'd need to bring our own supplies for this (which was fine for us). However, t's not obvious where things are for guests to use. We spotted a toaster, but couldn't find bowls, plates or cutlery. The fridge to keep your milk isn't a proper fridge, just a tiny travel fridge that wouldn't be big enough for all guests to keep a bottle of milk in. If breakfast isn't served as a B&B option or there is the option to buy breakfast on site, then you really need to have facilities for people to be able to make a simple breakfast. As a single parent of a 5 year old this was really inconvenient for our trip. We had bought fans with us, but had we not we may have been hot as no fans were provided in the room.

"Comfortable stop on our walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path."

Good location.

Breakfast needed to be booked a few days in advance. That’s not convenient.

The village is beautiful with an excellent pub, beach and restaurant and a Norman Castle.

Parking could be an issue nearby, we got the last space near the castle entrance. There was no cereal or toast waiting for us for breakfast and no one was around. It was dark in the rooms downstairs. No shampoo or conditioner or shower gel.

"It was good but could have been better"

7.0

The beds were comfy, the room and bathroom were clean and tidy and it was a good location for the wedding we were attending. The check-in and check-out process was easy enough and the information provided before the stay was accurate and sufficient. The location was excellent; it was close to Manorbier Castle and the local beach was beautiful. The local pub was cozy and the food was excellent.

The fridge in the cafe downstairs wasn't working and so the milk left for us had turned by the second day (see the photo of the floaty bits in the coffee). There was not any staff available so we couldn't do anything about it at the time and so went without. I have sent a message about it but so far I have not had a response. The charge for breakfast was ÂŁ7 pppn for toast, jam, granola and instant porridge. If you wanted tea and coffee you have to make it in your room and bring it down to the cafe. If we stay here again we would bring our own breakfast because this was not good value for money in my opinion and was further let down by the non-working fridge. The shower hose also had a leak but this was rectified by a staff member immediately.

"Love Manorbier!"

Love the town. Unique experience to be above the Cafe (which never worked out for us but looked charming). The proximity to the pub across the street, the magnificent beach and castle was amazing.
