Agriturismo il Casato - il Torchio

Great views, central location between the Val d’Orcia towns and within walking distance of Pienza for sunset views and gelato. The kitchen was great, we had been on the road for a while, had everything we needed.

I’ll Casato is perfectly located at the base of Pienza (arguably the nicest of towns in beautiful Val d’Orcia). The views from the property are equally as beautiful and a short but steep walk into Pienza make this a great place to stay. Our host Giosef was very friendly and helpful. A great host. The apartment was very roomy and quite new, with easy access and parking.

If you’re a fussy sleeper you might need to bring your own pillows! The apartment has. Great kitchen but it is quite basic in all other respects. Perfect for 5 nights with good washing and self catering facilities.

Beautiful view, large rooms and central location. Had a washing machine which was great.

Breakfast was truly terrible. Ten Euro per person for bad croissants and a lot of milk and yogurt. Less food and better quality would be a better option. Bed was poor quality and not comfortable.

Amazing View and very good communication with the host. He is very helpful.

The view is just ... speechless! The location is convenient to go to Pienze and the host is super nice. We stayed for 3 days and enjoyed meals over the stunning view of fields.

The bed could be more comfortable. The coffee maker did not work (probably due to prior renter's misuse), I intend to tell the owner, but also forgot to do that. The internet was spotty. I feel the food in pienza is both expensive and also did not offer much variety. Maybe we did not pick the right restaurants, but we feel every restaurants are serving the same or similar food at same price. Price fixing for tourist? Highly likely.

La cama superior de las literas tenía una baranda que estaba parcialmente rota.

O Guest Giosef e sua mãe sao super amorosos, foi uma experiência maravilhosa, foi como se hospedar numa casa de fazenda.... Apto super confortável, vista para o Vale D'orcia e cidade de Pienza, simplesmente maravilhoso. Dos sonhos!!!

Fantastic place to stay! The views are incredible! Near the road but so peaceful and quiet. The host Giosef was very nice and helpful too. If you want a place in the Val D'Orcia area to unwind and rest this is it. You still get Pienza in walking distance and other tuscan villages to explore if you want. We would love to stay there again!
