Lymedale Suites Studios & Aparthotel in NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME & STOKE

Lovely room, good amount of space. The kitchenette fits a fridge, 2 ring hob, microwave and sink into a small neat space. The refurbished room was pristine, the bed comfy. We stayed here in an emergency as our boiler had broken down and we needed to escape our very cold house. Our room was warm and we were able to have a hot shower and a comfortable night, and a hot meal at the Lymedale Bar and Restaurant next door.

The entrance could do with a coat of paint to make a better first impression. Walls between rooms are thin.

The Check-in was hassle free and very welcoming.The room was brilliant, very clean with everything you need for your stay, there is a welcome folder in the room with everything you need to know.

Having two rooms as one apartment gave our teenage son some privacy. The beds were comfortable enough for a hotel and having the kitchenette was useful, especially the utensils.

The TV in the smaller room didn't receive any signal so we all ended up in one room with inadequate seating for 4 of us (we were visiting our daughter at uni), there was no specific seating area to eat together, just a sort of breakfast bar in the larger room. Some visitors didn't seem to recognise that the walls from the corridor were quite thin and having a loud discussion out there at 5 in the morning is thoughtless

The microwave had some stain or rust in it can't really place what it was.

Clean, kitchen did what I needed. Enough room for me to store my provisions. I was there for a week, so a shelf above the sink would have been handy, but I guess I probably cooked more than most (every day). It was good to have a large desk, that was very useful. Although it was near a busy road, there was only one night where it was a little noisy. The rest were fine.

Nice to enter a warm room, however it was sweltering! Thermostat set at 5, could good for about 30C! Had all the windows open for a couple of nights to cool down. Save some energy and set it to 2-3 which should be about 20C. Warm enough for most people, and can be heated or cooled easily, AND saving you a lot of energy. Turning the dial to 5 does not get the room warm any faster. Couple of coat hooks would be nice, and maybe a towel or tea towel hook in the kitchen area.

Always a great nights sleep not only that, having cooking facilities is just a lifesaver, great location to go to Alton towers
