Montego Bay Beach Village - Morjim

Despite the gas shortage the food was good and lots of food options were available for us and the kids.

The property is beautiful. Very lush and green and situated right on the beach. The staff at breakfast were very kind.

First I received an email saying I needed to pay 10,000rs to confirm my booking (my bill was 7,289rs). When I emailed them about it they told me it was just an automated email from the system (no apology for the error). Then upon check in the reception tried to charge me 2000rs more than the booking.com price despite my confirmation email stating the lower price. It took five minutes of discussions before they admitted that my price was the correct one. Then they only gave us two towels for four people and no bedsheets for the sofa bed. When I asked the reception for two extra towels and bedsheets the receptionist told me our booking was for two people only. I informed him in fact I had booked for 5 as I accidentally kept the default two adults and added my three kids. I subsequently sent the property an email explaining my mistake and informing them that we were only 4, not 5 guests. Eventually we received the two extra towels. The pool smelled bad and was absolutely filthy so we didn‘t use it. We also didn’t have pool towels as there was a sign at the pool saying pool towels were provided in the rooms and we had received zero. I didn’t feel like going back to the reception for more arguing about towels and the pool was filthy so we skipped it. There was garbage (a used tissue and a candy wrapper) on the floor in front of our cottage for the duration of our stay. Nobody cleaned it until I picked it up before we checked out as I felt bad leaving it there for other guests. As soon as you step one foot off the property onto the beach there is garbage everywhere even their own sign is sitting in trash. I‘m not expecting them to clean the entire beach but if they cared about their property and their guests‘ experience they would at least clear the path right outside the property. It‘s a beautiful setting but very disappointing as it doesn‘t live up to its beauty at all. It’s so sad because it has such potential but no love or care.

Beach access

Unsupportive and biased staff and manager. They support the taxi goons sitting outside their resort who charges 3 fold of basic fare. I was harassed and intimidated for booking cab of my choice.

Services can be more better.

I love how green it was, the landscaping is gorgeous. And I love how you can just walk onto the beach straight from the hotel.

Breakfast.

Location s good, but not clean. Not value to money

Very kind staff at the hotel. Calm even though it's next to some party places.

Prices at the restaurant are high.
