Montego Bay Beach Village - Morjim

Location is great

Food is very average

Breakfast was basic. Location was ace. Fantastic attached restaurant made grabbing food easy though there are many restaurants around here. The resort is well laid out and perfect for relaxing as you can swim, lounge, eat the delicious food at the restaurant or walk 1 minute to the beach. The lady at reception was a gem, pretty much the only engaging customer facing staff. Other staff were surly or totally uninterested. Pet friendly and a lot of fun playing with the guest doggos.

1. Room was cleaned hastily, with one half empty bottle of shampoo randomly left there. There was only one set of everything for 2 guests (soap, toothbrush kit etc) 2. Room was not cleaned until repeated requests on the 3rd day. They ask you to leave the key at reception which obviously created a lot of scheduling issues 3. Taxi mafia preventing our tour guide and driver from entering the hotel 4. No phone in room, but a guest number is printed on a card they give you, which no one answers even after repeated calls 5. No room service 6. Weak wifi signal which was quite a bother as I was working some days 7. No desk in room to use for working on my laptop. The room configuration was weird as it's a pre-fab cabin with a half divider and the part towards the sliding door just has a little couch plopped there, couldn't think of any purpose it could serve in that awkward position. 8. Had to wait way more than an hour to get into the room after check in time. Ironically, staff knocked on the door exactly half hour before check out, ready to carry our bags out.

The property was well located, just by the beach. Landscaping was done very well within the property. The restaurant is the USP of the resort. The food is good.

The cottages would have been better lit up.

The location is amazing, must visit.

Superbly thoughtful ambience and very good maintenance of services.The staff were very professional and smiling...a truly pet loving place with like-minded visitors like us.
