Very nice place with lots of space and high quality furniture. We could even use a coffee grinder to brew fresh coffee. The breakfast was also wonderful, with several options.

We come each year to stay at Chartre Manor, making it our first stop visiting New Zealand. The surroundings are tranquil, the cottage is very comfortable; the bed, the living area, the kitchen facilities. There are many things accessible from here, whether tracks in the forests, going to beaches, or restaurants in town. Above all, Anna-Marie and Johan are exceptionally hospitable. It is easy to feel at home here.

The views are fantastic and the cottage is very spacious.

The view was beautiful and we loved the many personal touches that made our stay special.

Hosts were very hospitable and welcoming. Provisions provided were very generous and thoughtful with more than enough for a late meal on arrival and substantial breakfast in the morning.
