Central Modern Apartment with Private parking & Ocean view & Coffee corner

The view is nice, but it doesn't mean much considering that we could barely see the sunset. The host tried to talk up the circumstances (at least they tried/made an effort), but when there's no solid and good foundation even excuses that tries to put everything in a good light doesn't help.

Ant infestation in the kitchen. No elevator and steep stairs to the second floor. The utensils and equipment were below the bare minimum, partly worn out or of poor quality. The beds smelled bad - we had to wash everything first. Overall, the place was dirty and dusty, and only the surface seemed to have been cleaned for appearance's sake. One of the two showers was unusable during our stay, and we were only informed about this a week before arrival - any compensation offered doesn’t make up for that. The garage was unusable (too tight and impractical) resulting in endless searching for parking and a lot of walking up and down these steep and uncomfortable streets, which added extra stress. We traveled as a group of family and friends (4 people) and felt uncomfortable from beginning to end, to the point where we considered leaving early. Communication with the host was via WhatsApp. Despite being in the digital age, this felt very impersonal, you might as well communicate with artificial intelligence, which would probably be more solution-oriented and effective. My personal advice to anyone considering booking this accommodation: stay away! Unless you're okay with a place that may look modern on the outside but fails to meet even the most basic standards in terms of hygiene, equipment, and comfort. The location also isn’t ideal if you want to experience the facets of Tenerife, unless you don’t mind endless drives on narrow and nerve-wracking roads. Or you just stay in this area and “enjoy” the north - although I doubt this area is representative of the northern part of the island. It felt more like the atmosphere of a run-down train station, in terms of the streets and neighborhood. As an experienced traveler and lawyer, I’m extremely disappointed. I’ve never experienced anything like this. Let me be clear: these are not exaggerations. These are facts with evidence, (wish I could add Videos) and nothing about the situation can be justified. Save your money.

The view is amazing at sunset. Having a garage next to our apartment was also a great for us. The apartment is well equipped with everything. Host was super nice and made some recommendations for trips.

Very spacious, fully equipped apartment with great location. The best part is the view. Easy contact with hosts who respond and react very quickly.

Great view.

Horrific smell. Window was left open by the kitchen, which we felt was due to this. The whole apartment smelled stale. We reported this to the hostess. The apartment was tired and so was the bedding etc. Minimal utilities in the kitchen also. It was so bad, we didn’t actually stay for the night we booked. We had to pay to stay in a hotel.

Lovely view. Very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Don't be put off by the busy main road it's on, as it is only a short 5 minute walk up the hill to the historic centre of Icod. No traffic noise at night as everything quietens down in between rush hours. Carparking space in underground carpark opposite included. Very good WiFi as my husband worked from the apartment for 2 days easily. Short walk to shops and supermarkets.

The shower in the larger bathroom sprayed water out beyond the glass screen and the bath mat was not very absorbent. No lift. Have to walk up the stairs to second floor, which was fine for us but may be difficult for less mobile people.

The host was kind before our arrival and the accommodation is also perfect, we can only recommend it, except for the lack of bathing facilities.

After our late evening arrival, we noticed that there was no hot water in the apartment at all, and there was a problem with the water pressure. The host tried to help, but we tried to check the boiler and its connections. In the end there was no hot water. We spent one night at the hotel, the host said that someone would check it tomorrow, although we were no longer there. Based on reviews, we saw that someone else had a similar problem with the water. Although, the question arises in my mind, if there was no hot water, how did anyone clean the apartment without noticing? The host offered a compensation of 15 euros, although we had no possibility to bathe at all due to the lack of water pressure and hot water. So..

Large apartment with terrace and ocean view.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms, but the water pressure in the tap makes it impossible to use both bathrooms or even to bathe and wash dishes at the same time. I chose this apartment because it had two bathrooms that could not be used at the same time. Parking space only for small cars, larger ones cannot be parked. The dishes in the kitchen are dirty, dishwashing liquid, matches and toilet paper only for starter. In the kitchen there isn't even a wine corkscrew. Two bedrooms are located on the street side, where there is terrible noise and even when the windows are closed it is noisy. The third bedroom had a window onto the internal patio, where there was an unpleasant smell from the sewage system in the evening and at night. The apartment is located on the second floor of a tenement house, where the stairs are quite large and the staircase is tight, which is a problem for older people and when bringing in suitcases.

The view was very beautiful to wake up to, and having restaurants and supermarkets nearby was very helpful.
