GBA beautiful house that far exceeded our expectations. There was also a lovely pub a short walk away which was wonderful. Would definitely like to stay again.

Advert shows Chain House from the road,this is not the actual accommodation. No mention of owners living on site and accommodation is actually an extension of their home. Access to accommodation via a narrow back lane and through a gate into garden. Extremely limited parking, up to 100m from property, not idea for unloading luggage or small children. Living space small if there were eight guests. Also permanent, slightly musty smell. Advertised TV in each bedroom but none of them worked. Only one full shower for eight guests, plus two hand held shower heads, not ideal. Also weird small window on the landing looking directly into bathroom/shower. Privacy comprised by owners and their friends constantly walking past windows to work in/entertain in the garden.
IEA central location to the village of Modbury, a beautiful historic family home with some of original features still in place. The very best of furniture and utensils and dinner wear. It was a real treat. My daughter and I loved the antique water carafes by the beside and beautiful furniture
Nothing, it was perfect for us as we spent lots of time out and about. If you’re looking for a place to lounge and lie up on cost sofa this is not it.
GBGBWe really enjoyed the home from home feel of the spacious house and the beautiful garden. My son enjoyed playing with the host's friendly cat and dog.
