Love the Hamptons. Always feels like home away from home. It’s spacious and cozy. Definitely my go to when in Dbn.

UPDATE 10/12/25 It is unfortunate the host has chosen to try to justify the legitimate issues I raised about my stay, thus creating the impression I might be a difficult guest. I have expressed my honest opinion and while it is clear my expectations were not met I have given what I consider to be a generous score rather than be vindictive and give a 1 as many guests do. In fact I often give 10 when I have been completely satisfied because I know hosts cherish their overall rating above all else. It would have been better just to take on board my concerns and agree to address them with a view to improvement. There has been no word of apology or regret about the damage to my vehicle. All of the host's responses to the points I raised are in fact incorrect and I am setting the record straight as follows: Housekeeping is advertised as being provided every four days. That meant I should only have received service once during my stay. I even told them which day I wanted them to come but they kept knocking on my door every day and the day before check out they went into the room to clean without asking, while I was out. It's rude to make assumptions in contradiction of the wishes of guests. At no time did I park badly. On arrival I was shown where to park but an hour later was asked to move so that a bigger car could use the bay. When I reversed out it was hard to manouevre because of the foot wide flower bed against the driveway wall and I scraped the bumper so then I parked in the front of the house but the next day was asked to move again so people with a bigger car could use it. That's when I put my foot down because I had no intention of spending my holiday playing musical cars. It would be better if guests could be allocated a specific bay for the duration of their stay to avoid these inconveniences.

Contd. There is no indication at the time of booking that the property is divided into three apartments. In fact on the booking website it clearly states in bold: The entire place is yours. I said the area is rough at night. That's why there is a security guard in a sentry box in the street outside the property from sunset to sunrise..Nobody would dream of walking down the road after dark. The Florida road area and most of Central Durban has not been safe and vibrant for over a decade. Out of the 24 other reviewers, 6 stayed 1 night, 10 stayed 2 nights, 5 stayed 3 nights and 3 stayed 4 nights. If anybody stayed longer they didn't give a review so it's not possible to determine what their experience was. We can chalk it up to experience and hopefully lessons have been learned on both sides.
