Ocean Air Guesthouse and Villa Weligama - MINUTE TO WAVES

Room was beautiful. Views of the beach and ocean with a lovely balcony. Bed was really comfy and bathroom was huge. Would love to stay here again.

No official reception in the hotel so a little confusing on arrival, but it's still fairly new so I assume this is in progress.

Everything was wonderful: a clean villa, excellent room, Hapi was always ready to assist and even brought a kettle upon our request. Cleaning, towels, and other needs were provided upon request. I really liked everything; during the first week I stayed alone, and during the second week with my partner. We both enjoyed it. There are a couple of local shops nearby where you can buy water, Coke, etc. It's a 5-minute walk along the beach to the Marriott and all the action. It's about a 15-minute drive to Mirissa and Ahangama, both great for swimming in turquoise waters. In my opinion, Weligama is mainly for surfing. Hot water, along with shampoo, soap, and shower gel, are also available.

Among the downsides, the rooftop isn't fully finished and has been taken over by birds, so having breakfast there isn't really possible, but it's a minor issue. It should be fine by next season.

Amazing location and friendly staff. The room had an ocean view. I highly recommend it.

The place is nice, in a small street a few steps from the beach, but it is clearly still under construction and the rooms are simple. Good price for the location.

The staff is not so present and the services offered by the structure are almost non-existent.

I had an amazing stay in Weligama! The rooms are just a 30-second walk from the beach, making it perfect for surfing and relaxing by the ocean. The accommodation itself is brand new with a beautiful finish, and everything feels super fresh and well-maintained. i extended my stay for the third time and i just stay here in weligama and travel to mirissa and Ahangama when i need to. The sunset from the balcony is breathtaking.

Not a single thing went wrong during my stay, i am not joking when i say i would stay for months if i could.

Large comfortable room with AC, the room was very clean. The family that run the guesthouse were so helpful and friendly which made the stay even more special. The location was perfect for me, away from the busy road but still only a short walk from the beach and nice restaurants. I definitely recommend!

Location, rooms are new, fabulous sea view, recently built and completed, big comfortable bed, great air conditioning, fridge & freezer in rooms, massive bathroom and all new fittings, almost on the beach, only short walk to the waves ..

unfinished, rooftop breakfast area still under construction, basic temporary furniture, limited breakfast choices. Guest House, not hotel, so no communal spaces. Poor safety around the building, stairs without handrails and long drops to get to the rooftop area . It will be amazing when completed.
