Traditional & Modern Maltese Townhouse - Rooftop Terrace and Sea Views, close to Birgu Waterfront

Views from roof terrace amazing, great sun from sunrise to sunset. Great location to restaurants. Loved the Burgu waterfront and cocktails at Cargo. The walks around the 3 cities. One minute walk to ferry to Valetta. The house was comfortable and clean. Everything we needed.

Only booked a week, would loved to have stayed longer

Location is great for easy access to ferry to Valetta, restaurants, few convenience stores and cafes/bars. Bedrooms are airconditioned. Plenty of room, spread over 4 floors if you count the open cellar. Downstairs courtyard with outdoor dining furniture and lots of outside space on rooftop with dining table/chairs and couple of loungers. Dishwasher & washing machine. Plenty of crockery/pots & pans. One ensuite with shower, one family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, and downstairs loo (also with a shower).

Lack of personal touches as you would get from an owner host - no welcome pack - (not even bottle water/tea/coffee/milk). No oven gloves or drying-up cloth, only 2 dishwasher tablets. Downstairs is large and can get very hot as not airconditioned, with only one old stand up fan which you need to move between kitchen and lounge. Lack of cleaning materials and waste bags. No flex on late check out. Felt there should be another safety rail at the very top where the stairs meet the flooring in the top sun room. Also check for any building work going on in the area before booking as the noise from outside penetrates easily through the vents. Would have appreciated access to a change of sheets for our week long stay. Extra hand towels required for the kitchen and downstairs loo. Not for the less mobile.

Magnificent view and great location! Traditional house perfect for 6 people! The roof terrace was the best place to be especially in the morning and in the afternoon/night!

The humidity especially in the summer in some areas of the house is very high and there is no air conditioning in the living room and in the kitchen.

We have stayed here before and we liked it so much we decided to return. The house has a fantastic location close to the ferry from 3 cities to Valletta. There is so much to do both locally and within 30/40 mins travelling time. The weather is just perfect in Spring and less crowds. The house has so much character and much better than staying in a hotel. Lots of good local places to eat and drink, and close to the local bus stop too. Great views from the top terrace.

There’s a lot of church bells but that is part of Maltese way of life.

Location was perfect, house was really clean and it has everything we may need.

Well appointed spacious Maltese house with traditional layout and stone features. 3 minute walk to Valletta ferry (50c ride for over 60s) . Ferry runs till midnight and is a pleasant trip across the harbour. 3 minute walk to harbour waterfront with good restaurants. Good coffee shop almost next door.

Nothing. May not suit a person who finds steps a challenge.

Overall it was very nice.

Both the bedrooms need a chest of drawers - otherwise very nice. The biggest issue we had was the amount of stairs. Steep and a lot of them.
