I didn’t know that it was directly part of the same house as the owners. One feels you must be super quiet as to not disturb. It is rustic and old fashioned- which is fine; but little things like the towels were stiff and scratchy rather than soft and absorbent like in a hotel.

USKsenia and Mike are super easy in communication and lovely people. The bed was super comfortable. My kids enjoyed the books that were thoughtfully provided in the room. For me the perfectly stocked kitchen was a super deal! I enjoyed the ease of cooking the simple but healthy breakfasts and dinners.
The only thing I wish I was more thoughtful is getting to the property with a full tank of gas. There is no gas stations nearby the Payne Creek. This is not an owner issue at all but me not doing the homework. Don't repeat my mistake ))

Neighborhood sketchy, dogs barking, and quest vehicle should be behind gate like the host's vehicle. Hosts not answering questions quickly or at all. Shower dripping, ceiling had old leak stains.

USUSWe liked the privacy and facilities. The accommodations were very homey and it is evident that the hosts care for the property. The hosts left toiletries in the bathroom, coffee, cereal, spices, oil, and other items in the kitchen. These details showed care towards their tenants.
The weather was very hot and it was difficult for the small air conditioner to cool down the bedroom.

USRustic and well maintained, good atmosphere for visiting Lassen Volcanic NP.
I didn't like the host directly requesting us to reimburse her for EV charging off-platform. I would have preferred this to either be rolled into the cost or through some sort of in-platform transaction.
