The Caliph Hotel, Mumbai Near Powai Lake

I paid for a super deluxe but got a regular room . I know this because my friend booked for regular room and her room and mine looked same. infact her room had fridge and mine did not despite being super deluxe. The curtain in bathroom were super dirty

The location was perfect, it was close to everything and all the staff was very friendly and helpful

I had a meeting to attend in Powai; so location for this was excellent. We were upgraded to a larger room, which was spacious and comfortable. The morning breakfast was not fancy but adequate, the fruit was fresh.Staff were all very helpful

The first night we tried ordering dinner from the restaurant at 9.30pm ( last order is 10.30pm) but they could not provide any of the meals on the menu, only snacks, so we had to order on Swiggy. The scrambled eggs at breakfast had been doused in syrup - I have never had sweet scrambled eggs before! Room service kept forgetting things - one towel instead of two, one cup for tea making instead of two, only one teabag, two shower gels no shampoo...they provided immediately on asking but it was a bit tiresome having to ask for something every day.

Room was suffocating and the air-contioning was horrible.. The central AC did not cool the room atall despite running it for several hours.. After raising a lot of requests, they finally changed my room which had a split AC. We could finally sleep at 1AM after all the fiasco. At one point we were comtemplating checkout anf go to another hotel as this was becoming a health hazard.
