Private Room in a house in the Cotswolds

Great host and all the little touches were great :) loved the dog and cats as well!

Squeaky door on the bedroom!

Bryony, the host, was excellent, very nice, and made our stay very pleasant.

There was nothing we didn't like

The location was convenient for us.

The host messaged to say that she wouldn't be there when we arrived and told us where the key was. We let ourselves into her private house and were immediately greeted by two very friendly cats. Fortunately, neither of us are allergic to cats, but they were completely unexpected, and no mention of this was in the description. This could have been a disaster for anyone with a severe allergy. We located our room, and as soon as we opened the door, one of the cats ran in and got on the bed. Although advertised as with a private bathroom, it failed to state that it was not onsuite, meaning that we had to go out of our room. There was no lock on the bedroom door, which was quite disconcerting. However, we never actually saw or met the host as she had gone out again the following morning. There were instructions about leaving the key! On arrival, there was no heating on. It was cold. We were amazed that the host would have strangers in their home when they were not there. Not a situation that we were comfortable with. A better description of this accommodation would be "A room in a private house".

Very clean and comfortable and very homely

Staying at Hazelnut House was amazing! Literally from Home to Home with everything we needed. Bryony was very friendly and welcoming (the Cookies were delicious!) and the room was spacious, comfortable and surprisingly very quiet. The Birthday decorations were very much appreciated. Thank you

Bryony was very friendly and welcoming and my room was spacious, very comfortable and quiet. Both my room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. The off-road parking was a bonus for me and very much appreciated.

With Bryony's property there was nothing at all to dislike.

Even if it is a room in a house we had enough privacy! Thank you for the cookies as well!
