Spacious 4 Bedroom Beach House with Pool

The big beds.

It was very disappointing stay from the very beginning. On arrival the remote wasn't working and we were left outside the accommodation. The litter and filth just on the driveway and parking lot was ridiculous, let alone the broken glass down the stairway and cigarette Buds through the patio. The jacuzzi had no water in it and the patio area was in complete chaos with items left from previous people. No lights worked outside near the table or braai area. In the house many of the light bulbs were blown and we actually had to go out and buy external lights to see. The kitchen utensils such as glasses, plates and bowls were majorly broken or not enough for everyone. We had to go out and hire glasses and plates in order to accommodate us for the 2 night stay. The dishwasher smelt terrible as it was left dirty and was usable, due to this we had to go and buy dishwashing liquor and clothes. A holiday that was meant to be a relaxing getaway turned out to be a disappointment and a huge extra expense on our side!!! A gardener was sent after huge complaints but still spent the whole day in our private space. I would like to inquire if I will be able to get a full or partial refund based on this feedback.

This property, whilst in a good location, needs a lot of maintenance. It sadly does not look as good as the photos on the listing make it out to be. It looks, feels and smells (damp) neglected. Aircons not working, multiple lights throughout the house not working, very old linen in the bedrooms, beds also need replacing, chipped crockery, no bottle opener, no dish clothes, algae swimming pool, etc. Only one set of keys worked, little to no service from host, might be called "Happy Hosts" but definitely not a happy house nor happy guests!

The reason we booked your place was because of the jacuzzi and that wasn't even working also the TV wasn't working as welll , also the bath tub in the bedroom wasn't working no hot water was coming out .... Some of the lights also wasn't working , the pool wasn't to clean as well

The location was good.

The future, beds, and linen. The property is not well maintained.

Space, ambience Trees and garden. Pool. Plenty of storage space. I don’t mind old tired grandeur of the home.

No mattress or pillow protectors - for hygiene purposes this is essential in guesthouses. Battled to open the lockbox to retrieve the key on check in. Only one remote/key - needed a spare. Coffee bodem would be a nice addition.

Exceptional property in all that it has to offer and convenient location weather you wanna head to Durban central or further north. VALUE FOR MONEY! Fully equipped kitchen, neat comfortable furniture and clean house, clean well positioned pool and heated jacuzzi with a braai area and shadded patio all in one view, each spacious bedroom has ensuite bathrooms, the beach is just 1 minute walk across the road, friendly host who ensures you are well set for your stay. Trust me I could type all day about this property but let me pause here for today.

I would be lying if I said there's anything I didn't like.

Was well suited for our needs. Lovely and spacious. The kitchen could use some improvements: the dust bins should be cleaned out regularly, and it would be great if plastic liners were provided. Additionally, the pots and dishwasher are showing signs of wear and may need a replacement soon.
