We had a very disappointing experience with this property. Despite receiving two booking confirmations via Booking.com, the host repeatedly denied having any record of our reservation when we called to confirm. We were traveling with a child, and I clearly requested that they cancel the booking if there was any issue. Instead, the host stopped answering our calls entirely. Since we didn’t know what to do and couldn’t reach anyone for help, we had no choice but to book another place. Unfortunately, we couldn’t cancel that either, as we had already lost valuable time trying to sort things out here. In the end, we were charged for both properties, even though we never stayed at this one. What’s more concerning is that basic courtesy and communication were completely lacking. If such basic etiquette is missing, I can only imagine how the actual stay would have been. I later heard from locals that this property has had several similar issues in the past, which only added to our regret. This situation could have been avoided with better communication from both the host and Booking.com. Not being given a fair chance to cancel or resolve the issue—especially while traveling with a child—felt extremely unfair and left us feeling helpless and taken advantage of.
