Our experience at Grand Serena Hotel, Pondicherry was extremely disappointing and disturbing. The room was dirty on arrival — floors were not mopped properly and the bathroom was not clean. When I called to complain, a staff member came and cleaned the room using the same dirty mop used for the toilet area. That is completely unhygienic. The most unacceptable incident happened the next morning: two male staff entered our room without knocking or ringing the doorbell while my wife was in the bathroom undressed. This was a serious violation of privacy and completely unprofessional. After reporting the issue, no one came to clean the room again during our stay. No complimentary water bottles were provided. The restaurant staff were rude and the cutlery was dirty and unhygienic. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. I strongly advise management to train staff properly and take guest privacy and cleanliness seriously. We do not recommend this hotel at all

Lack of proper maintenance of rooms. Restricted breakfast menu. Room location - continuous noise of generator for a marriage reception!
