Blue Mountain Domes - The WOW Experience

Great place to enjoy the mountians!

We didn't stay long enough!!! and the weather

Location is nice and peaceful. Dome was cozy, clean and warm. Unfortunately for us there was no water pressure throughout our stay, so we never had any water. As it is self check in and no one is around it took a while to find a number to contact someone. Once contacted they were straight down and working hard, unfortunately for our stay it was never fixed. So a mixed experience overall.

We wanted to experience a true dark sky night. We did!

First of all, the price went up $20 when I went to book. I couldn't figure out why.We arrived at dusk, and there weren't any lights to help you see to the keypad on the door to our dome or outside our "private" bathroom. (The private bathroom is in a separate bathhouse block, and I feel that was misrepresented) You needed both hands to open the door and therefore couldn't hold a flashlight too. There wasn't any information in the room to help figure out how to turn on a light ( we had to plug it in first) or just general information on the site. We never saw a host. If you're camping, it was obviously a step up from that, but was not what I expected. You couldn't see the stars out the window because it wasn't clear enough to see through. All the things I thought I was getting, I was disappointed in. That being said, it was extremely clean and would be a good place to stay if you want a non tent camping experience.

The dome are simple but perfect! Large and comfortable. My bed light didn’t work but was fine!

The looking through part wasn’t so clean so we couldn’t really appreciate the stars unfortunately.

It was a unique experience. The dome and bathroom were clean. The firepit area was enjoyable.

The listing for the queen studio started 2 queen bed and 2 twins. There was a queen bed and a foldable cot. For $200/night, this is unacceptable. Also, the "private bathroom" was a completely separate building a short distance from the dome (it was also exceptionally hot in there). P.S. - there is no tv in the domes.
