La posizione dell'appartamento, in pieno centro storico di Monopoli.

The location was great & the roof terrace, although a bit tricky to get up to, was a nice place to have breakfast or evening drinks. The owner kindly brought us a kettle a day or two later once requested.

The bedroom & ensuite was in a very cramped space. The shower was too powerful for such a small space so the floor always got wet & needed mopping up. The kitchen had a broken cupboard door that was a little dangerous.

The description is highly misleading. The staircase to the kitchen is very steep and narrow with a very low ceiling and the terrace is on another level up only accessible via a very heavy roof door at the top of a spiral staircase. The pictures show a washing machine but it had been removed. The description said there was an iron but there wasn’. The hairdryer barely worked. The woman at check-in hardly spoke English and was extremely aggressive. The door key was very difficult to lock.

The location was perfect. The terrace on the balcony was also very nice. The property manager was responding quickly.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with the place as the second night we have found cocroaches in our accommodation. Despite getting to know that this is a municipal problem we were not warned before our stay. Honestly I would rather look for something else than getting to the apartment later in the night and seeing the creatures crawling through my clothes in the luggage. This has never happened to me before and I hope it never will. The accommodation also charge for late check-in which you can't see in the information so be careful about that. Overall, not worth the price despite a very nice location. There are many other apartments in the historical town so I would rather look elsewhere in the future.
