Maison de standing - Médina de Marrakech

Die Unterkunft liegt am südöstlichen rand der Medina und somit etwas abseits der Touristenpfade, Aber genau das war es was wir erleben wollten, den authentischen Alltag der Bewohner. Der Kontakt zu den Gastgebern lief völlig unkompliziert über Whattsapp, und auch die Übergabe sowie das Auschecken verliefen reibungslos. Myriam hat uns mit Tee und Süssigkeiten begrüsst und uns herzlich empfangen, obwohl wir erst relativ spät angekommen sind.Unseren Mietwagen konnten wir direkt vor die Eingangstür stellen. Ein paar kleinere Läden für das nötigste und zum Frühstücken waren keine 10 Meter entfernt. Die Unterkunft war perfekt ! Im Erdgeschoss ein schönes Schlafzimmer mit hübschen orientalischem Badezimmer, im 1. Obergeschoss ein weiteres grosses Schlafzimmer ebenfalls mit tollem Bad, sowie dem Küchenbereich. Von hier aus geht es die nächste Treppe zur schönen Dachterasse, wo wir nach den langen Tagestouren noch bis spät in die Nacht unsere Eindrücke austauschten und am nächsten Morgen beim Frühstück die nächsten Touren planten. Die Unterkunft war für uns perfekt und ein echter Glücksgriff, wir würden jederzeit wieder hier buchen.

The location: For me, the location was the highlight of the stay. It’s situated just within the outer Medina wall, which ended up being really convenient. Taxis around Marrakech were a bit of a nightmare at times, so we often found it easier and quicker to walk into the main square instead. Google Maps said the walk was around 20 minutes, although it usually took us a bit longer because we kept stopping along the way. There was a fresh orange juice stand on the next street charging only 8 MAD compared to around 25 MAD in the main square, so we couldn’t resist stopping there regularly. The area also felt much more local and authentic. It was really interesting seeing locals having breakfast at the nearby stalls, dipping fresh bread into tea in the mornings. There’s also fresh bread baked just steps from the front door (ferran) for only 3 MAD, which became part of our daily routine. One thing we really appreciated was that we never felt ripped off in this area. Prices were noticeably cheaper than in the main market, and there was no pressure to barter for everything. The house itself: As you enter the house, there is an ensuite bedroom immediately to the right, with a staircase directly ahead leading up to the main floor where you’ll find the kitchen and second bedroom. Both bedrooms were well stocked with towels, shampoo, and conditioner, and we had no complaints at all regarding cleanliness or comfort. The standout feature for us was definitely the bathrooms. Both had his-and-her sinks along with beautiful Moroccan-style showers, which gave the place a much more luxurious feel than we expected. The kitchen had everything we needed — a fridge, bar stools, utensils, and cooking pots. We mainly used it for preparing breakfast in the mornings, and it worked perfectly for that. The terrace was a real hidden gem of the property. Outside there’s a small dining table for four along with a sofa area to relax on.

Slight noise from outside in the night but quiets down pretty quickly. This is also part of being so close to the main streets so pretty much expected.

Super accueil, propre, comme sur les photos, plutôt bien placé quand on connaît déjà Marrakech, on a vraiment passer un super séjour !! Merci

Lovely apartment with beautiful bathrooms and rooftop balcony. Rooms were warm and spacious. Myriam and Younesse were lovely to deal with and very helpful with our questions / requests. Myriam arranged for an airport pick up for us which was very helpful as we landed late. House was a 20min walk into the city centre. You can definitely hear noise from the street, but it didn't keep us awake at night and generally died down around 10pm - 11pm each night. House was very cold in general (we stayed in the middle of winter) as it's tiled, but rooms were easy enough to warm up with the heat pumps. Felt safe in this neighbourhood.

House power tripped often. It was easy to turn back on, but you can't have many appliances plugged in at once. We barely managed to boil the jug and we only had two people staying there. Wish the kitchen was equipped with better items (water jugs, tea makers, more coffee filters). Virtually no eating / grocery options nearby. There is one takeaway style shop about 500m away, and one hole in the wall convenience store on the corner selling a limited amount of items.

Une belle maison rénovée avec goût et authenticité. Un toit terrasse très agréable. Un accueil très chaleureux avec thé et pâtisseries. Un petit déjeuner au top préparé par Meryem. Une communication fluide et réactive.

Le manque d'isolation acoustique des fenêtres : difficile de s'endormir avec le bruit de la rue et des scooters.

Sehr stilvoll und liebevoll gestaltetes, sehr sauberes Haus über 3 Etagen. Der Vermieter und die Hausdame waren sehr freundlich, sehr gut zu erreichen und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir durften z.B. viel früher ins Haus. Da die Unterkunft etwas abseits vom eigentlichen Zentrum liegt (20 min. zu Fuß), gibt es in der Nähe keine Cafés oder Restaurants. Man kann sich aber direkt im Haus Frühstück oder Abendessen zubereiten lassen. Wir haben uns an einem Abend Essen von unserem Lieblingsrestaurant ins Haus bestellt, was hervorragend geklappt hat. Gleich gegenüber gibt es einen kleinen Laden, in dem man z.B. Wasser kaufen kann.

Beautiful riad, a very comfortable and relaxing base for a busy few days in Marrakech. The rooms were beautiful (especially the bathrooms) and the terrace upstairs was a lovely space. We had a very tasty tajine made for us on one night, complete with fruit salad and mint tea - would highly recommend after spending a day out in the desert.

We did trip the power twice - once when we plugged in the hairdryer and once when we put the oven on. We did figure out how to restore power, but it's worth noting.

Apartament is located in excellent place of medina , close to the road but in quiet space . Design is great and It is better than you can see on pictures. Ideal for group of 2 couples or family. Owner is very helpful and responsive. We have been welcomed by the host with tea and sweets on taras of villa where we have had breakfast. It was great stay in Marakesh!
