The Old Stable at Manor House, Middleton

Our experience of The Old Stable demonstrates exactly why - where possible - we prefer to stay in owner managed properties. The property was beautifully clean, organised & equipped, the owners were attentive and friendly but not invasive and our experience was exactly as described in the listing. The patio was located within their gorgeous garden and had the sun shining on it for much of the day. The property was well located for exploring beautiful coastal Suffolk. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Old Stable.

We’d have loved a sign over the door saying ‘The Old Stable’ as we were so keen to avoid disturbing the owners (& had no mobile coverage to double check the listing photo) that it took us a while to realise that we were right outside the door of the property!

Great location - close to RSPB Minsmere & close to Southwold. Well thought out property & well equipped. Lovely home baked cake was a lovely surprise.

Our only negative, the sofa in the lounge was very uncomfortable to sit on.

Lovely barn conversion, compact but with everything you need, quality fittings and finish. Great location and Lovely hosts

Very comfortable and clean. Very well stocked of everything you need and more. Tea, coffee, milk and even a homemade fruit cake. Great shower, soft bed.

The Old Stable is compact but beautifully appointed. Special mention should be made of the hosts who made us feel very welcome. We had a comfortable bed and all possible facilities. The gardens were lovely and the location was peaceful and perfect for exploring the Suffolk coast.

Nicely furnished & good location to Minsmere, Southwold etc. Lovely to see the owners beautiful garden with so many plants. Close to pubs for meals.

Nothing really to dislike. Was quite compact but cosy for the few days we stayed.

Lovely place to stay. Beautifully clean and well presented. Very welcoming. Great location. Struggled a little bit with finding somewhere to store my gear, but photographers have more stuff than average!
