Luminoso Alhambra View Suite - El Laurel

In Albaycin, the old Moorish quarter of Granada, the apartment is surrounded by scented plants. It is comfortably and amply furnished in old Spanish style. The view of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada from the ample patio is truly stunning, a perfect backdrop for morning or evening meal, (though there are several good eateries close by). The walk down to the centre is fascinating and there are busses to take you back up.

The crowds in town on a long bank holiday weekend. Very tempting to just stay in the apartment.

A wonderful place to stay in Granada with a huge terrace to enjoy views out to the Alhambra. Spacious apartment with home comforts and a cleverly hidden kitchen suited our needs. Rafael was a very attentive host. Close to the Albaicin quarter for authentic bars and shops, expect plenty of walking up and downhill. We loved it!

The location of the apartment, the interior design, the terrace, and the view were all spectacular. We were there during December, and we had a comfortable temperature indoors with the option to control the heating if we needed a bit more coziness. We had all we needed in the kitchen, tea, coffee, electric equipment, a super microwave, fridge, stove... But the most amazing thing about the place are the views of Alhambra and the cave village, and the giant cypress tree that is home to several types of birds which gave us a beautiful serenade at sunset. Rafael is a wonderful person and a great host, we were very well taken care of. I wish we could have stayed longer. p.s. the shower is amazing too :)

“El laurel” is a such a cosy charming apartment, it’s comfortable, beautifully decorated. and it has all the facilities one will need to enjoy a stay in Granada. The shower has massage jets which just perfect to relax after a long day walking in the hills of the city. The kitchenette is functional and has all what one will need to prepare a good breakfast and a quick dinner to enjoy on the balcony. The balcony is amazing and has a very beautiful. It’s perfect to have breakfast or dinner. And even to chill and read or just chill and enjoy the view. Rafael is such a great host. The communication with him was very smooth even before we arrived at the apartment. And then once in the check-in he took the time to explain everything to us and to give us recommendations about the city. We also appreciated that the host thought about putting some coffee and some tea for us to use. The location off the apartment in the albaicin is very good, it’s well connected with bus lines and you can even walk to the city center or the alhambra if you want so physical activity. We really enjoyed our stay in ‘el laurel’ and would love to come back.

Fantastic location, close enough to the centre of Granada to walk it. Also, plenty buses within easy walking distance - really easy system to understand! Really peaceful area, no noise at night. So nice to sit out on the balcony for coffee/breakfast in the morning. Great host, very helpful.

Everything was great. If I could change anything, it would be a slightly bigger kitchen so we could comfortably cook evening meals. It was a shame not to eat out on the balcony more often. That said, you could definitely make something basic and there are so many restaurants close by that it really wasn't the end of the world! We would absolutely visit again in spite of this :)

Everything! Amazing place, host and location

The location is amazing. Views of La Alhambra and access to trails for hiking. Fabulous bathroom and the shower has massage jets to relieve aches after a long day. The bed was comfortable. A beautiful balcony to drink coffee in the morning and plan your day.

I personally didn’t mind but be forewarned, it is not accessible by car, you will need to walk and if you have suitcases it is a hike.

Very comfortable cosy apartment, well equipped, good location in the albaicin - bus stops nearby, great views from the balcony, quick responses from the hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed and would stay there again

Would be nice to have shampoo etc provided

Rafael and his wife are super nice and helpful. They made everything easy and comfortable for us. The room is a great size and has everything that we need. The view is so beautiful.
