Brow Top Cottage, Penrith, Lake District

The property was stunning - so spacious, modern and well presented. I loved the wooden beams and the stone staircase, plus the barn doors were a gorgeous touch. It felt like home.

We would have loved use of a washing machine, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. There were lots of flies by the end of our trip, and we didn’t have the door open much, but it may be to do with the surroundings.

No real outdoor space

The most beautiful cottage for a truly peaceful stay! We used it as a base to explore the area and climb Scafell Pike and it was a pleasure to come home to after long days out. Stock up in town on your way in to get supplies as there isn’t much around once you check in. Decor, amentities and comfort all amazing! High end restaurant next door - need to book in advance to enjoy.

Lovely location, easy to find with good parking places. Beautiful decorated and maintained. Great to have a secure garden to let the dogs out in. Bedrooms were super comfortable. Nice to have information about what to do around the area and the basket with treats in were a great touch. Had more things than we expected like hair straighteners. We had a great stay

Tiny little things - nothing to light the fire with unless you had a lighter and no kindling to help keep it lit. Thought the dog fee was slightly steep Couldn’t get the lights to work in the downstairs bedroom or bathroom, just used the lamps instead Towels were quite small Settee wasn’t comfortable

Fabulous decor and furnishings Nice having bedroom separate on ground floor and with own bathroom

Digital door lock a bit fiddly , but once done was ok
