The Ubāri Bali - Luxury Riverside Escape

If you are reading this you must be considering staying here. Go ahead and book you will not be disappointed. The villa is exceptional and is highly recommended. Our stay was perfect right from the start. The villa manager Nopi arranged our complementary transfer from Kuta on the day of arrival. She also arranged a driver/guide for the days we wanted to explore Ubud @850K IDR which was well worth it and allowed us to tailor make our itinerary as we wished in a far more relaxed way than any formal organised tour. The housekeeper Ria was amazing and together with her small team looked after us really well. Nothing was ever too much trouble. There were on hand right from our arrival to welcome us to the property. They made our choice of breakfast each morning at a time of our choosing and prepared an evening meal for us one day when we chose to dine at the villa. They even arranged our laundry. The property itself is stunning. The master bedroom complete with outside bath and shower is set aside from the main building but still very close. The other 2 bedrooms are above the kitchen and huge indoor/outdoor living and dining space. The pool is wonderful and the grounds are immaculately kept. They have managed the mosquitos perfectly as well so we didn't get bitten at all during our stay. The housekeeper and villa manager are always on hand via WhatsApp if needed. Location wise the villa is around 10-15mins drive from the centre of Ubud. It's super quiet and entirely private not being overlooked in any way. Transport is required to get around although there is a small 24hr supermarket, a Thai restaurant and a Japanese takeaway a few minutes walk although there are no real pavements along much of the route. The villa was the perfect location to explore the best of Ubud with all main tourist attractions being within easy reach, although in high season the traffic could be busy. In short we could not fault this place at all.

Absolutely stunning! The entire villa exceeded our expectations. The pool was beautiful and we could enjoy a film with all six of us on the sofa in the living room. The outdoor bathroom option (both indoor and outdoor showers we available) was stunning too. The villa was very quiet, we only heard jungle sounds during our stay. Although a little bit outside of town we were able to easily order a car to get into town for maybe $2 AUD. I can't actually remember how long the car would take but it wasn't too bad unless it was on one of the days with the ceremony (happens a handful of times each year). We were totally happy with just enjoying the villa for most of the time and the taking a car into town if we wanted for a meal and to explore. The Breakfast was tasty with tea and coffee options, choose your fruit juice, and around seven main meal options. We would request a time the next morning to have breakfast.

My only small piece of feedback was the bread in the american breakfast option was very hard when we ordered one morning - this may be because it had been cooked and was being kept warm. It could be an idea to ask the guests if they are fine waiting for breakky to be cooked with the tea and juice to help avoid any loss of quality if the guests are a little bit late coming down for breakfast. Potentially one other breakfast option could be good too! This is seriously minor however all other breakfasts were delicious!
