Villa with pool Can Tomeu in Es Capdellà

Villa ampia per il nostro gruppo di 6 amici, con tutto l’occorrente per la nostra settimana. Host molto gentile e disponibile; la cosa che ci è piaciuta tantissimo è stato il giardino con la sua piscina e la possibilità di grigliare. Bella vacanza.

Noi in Italia siamo abituati alle docce con vetro e non alle tende, ma credo invece che qui sia una cosa molto comune. La presenza del bidet invece una gioia.

Beautiful traditional property in a cute village location. The pool was lovely and the two main bedrooms were large, clean and comfortable (we only used the two main upstairs rooms). The courtyard and garden area are very pretty - fresh lemons available from the trees. Was peaceful with beautiful views from the top floor balcony (from master bedroom). Big TV with Netflix available in the main sitting room, decent WiFi (for the area, which is badly served). The inside bathroom is large and clean with a great strong hot shower. Communication with the management company was excellent and they went out of their way to deal with any issues and make it the best possible stay. It’s a great option for young people or cyclists (fit and with minimal luggage) and we did enjoy the stay.

This property is NOT SUITABLE for anyone with any kind of MOBILITY ISSUES and would imagine a family with children would also struggle. The bathroom is at one end of the house on the ground floor, so difficult to reach in the night (slippy staircase and low ceilings - I’m 6ft and had to duck) and a trek through all the main communal rooms to get back to the bedrooms. Access is also an issue. I had a small car and it was incredibly tight to get in and out. The property is quite a long way from the road, so if you’re having to unload everything for your stay it’s a bit of a nightmare. The walk to the Carpark is short if you’re not carrying anything but a long way with kids and bags. The listing wasn’t clear about that, so just to confirm you can only park onsite with a small hatchback style car and it’s still tricky! Towels were tiny and storage options for clothes in the bedrooms were minimal.

Can Tomeu pool area is gorgeous. The pool is a good size, and nice & deep - ideal for kids to swim and jump in (a bit too deep for any kids who cannot swim without touching floor yet fyi, but there are some steps going in that they can sit on). The outside kitchen next to the pool is fab for keen BBQ cooks, and overlooks pool and was a lovely place to sit in the evenings. The whole property is very quiet and private, not at all overlooked. Company looking after the property were brilliant, and communication was great.

The kitchen is old, small and difficult to navigate & has a tiny dishwasher. Glassware could do with a refresh and somewhere better to store it in kitchen area which felt a bit cluttered. Some electrical issues here too, but the owners are aware and will fix. The 1 indoor bathroom is at the other side of the house, well away from bedrooms. We stayed at the hottest time of year, August, and the house was absolutely boiling hot inside. Aircon in 1 bedroom was very effective, but other bedrooms were absolutely sweltering. Would recommend more air con be fitted!
