Newly remodeled home duplex unit near 4 world-class ski resorts

Very peaceful

We loved the space, the location, and the general arrangement of the apartment. Check-in and check-out was super easy and made for a pleasant arrival and departure. Kitchen was sufficiently stocked to get basic cooking and meal preps done. Heating was excellent, space for car and parking also. The space for equipment, the ski rags and the convenience of storing ski equipment was very nice.

Well, it was nice that the place was recently renovated (even though the renovation was very basic (and we do have construction backgrounds to judge this)), but it still felt new and clean. However, the renovation and upgrades should include also upgrading beds and mattresses. The mattress in the master bedroom must have been 20+ years old, was completely worn out and horrible to sleep in. On the left hand side you'd lay in a deep "valley" that made it impossible to turn. In the first night, I slept a maximum of 4 hrs, due to being completely uncomfortable; and in the following nights we I did not sleep much more. Unfortunately, this put such a damper on the entire place and our entire stay, as there is nothing worse than not being able to sleep and rest, especially after a full day of skiing. This is probably the only thing that we perceived unacceptable and unprofessional about the place. Other that that, there was nothing major standing out negatively. The bedrooms in the basement are pretty cold, primarily due to the lack for floor insulation. However in the summer, it would be pretty cool and pleasant down there. The mattresses in the bottom bedroom were memory foam, again something I would never put in a rental place, as this is so subjective to individual liking....The kitchen could use a few more items - it had a rolling pin, but no baking sheets - so i am not sure what the point of that was..... I would come back but not until a new mattress is put in the master bedroom.

Everything looked clean.

They don't say it's a duplex. If you go with children, the neighbor is bothered by the children playing, so they demand to be completely silent no matter if it is 7PM or 10PM. In the description they say from 10PM to 7AM you should not make noise but the neighbor is bothered by everything. After 10 you have to walk floating because everything sounds. I didn't like the very heavy towels. They need more blankets.

Property was conveniently located for where we needed to go. Bathrooms were updated. Owner was responsive when we had a problem with the WiFi.

Kitchen not well stocked. The bunk bed was not full sized and our teen boys had a hard time fitting in it.

This was a cute duplex. You could not hear the neighbors. It was in a quiet community accessible to all amenities/stores. Washer and dryer on site. Bring your own detergent. They don’t have extreme requirements or rules. They are very common sense things. Inside was spacious and remodeled. They have the basics for kitchen supplies.

It would have been nice if there were extra blankets and towels.

The location was great the house had everything we needed and the owner was very friendly and accommodating
