Unhappy that we were not informed in the advertisement that the apartment was up several flights of steps, on the top floor of the building. The many steps were very difficult for my elderly mum. It was also unclear in the advertisement that the 2nd bedroom was tiny and had no window or natural light. This was made worse for us by the electric lighting not working in that room, and whilst that was eventually sorted- we were left for 2 nights with no lighting. As the key was obtained through a key safe, it would have been helpful to have some simple information available in the accommodation, such as the wi-fi password and instructions for appliances and rubbish disposal. The kitchen was lacking in equipment - there were limited cooking utensils, with no stirring spoons, whisk, cheese grater, oven trays or oven gloves. The shower also needed instructions to use as there was an isolation switch outside the bathroom which needed to be on. As far as we could determine, it also needed to be switched off each time, as this was the only way we found to actually turn the shower off again and stop the water running.
GBThe location was good as walking distance from the town and was easy to park. Nice views across the bay from the flat. It was nice to have the possibility for self catering.
I knew the flat was on the top floor with views but hadn't appreciated how many stairs there were to access the flat particularly with heavy luggage or shopping. At the end of walking up the hill from town it was a work out! It would be no good for anyone with accessibility issues. The kitchen was not as well equipped as I would have liked to be able to cook food easily e.g. no vegetable peeler; no oven gloves or tea towels. There were no baking dishes. The flat was fine for me in my own but would be very crowded for more than one with the compact size and very small bathroom.
