It felt homey and tranquil. Lots of extra touches to make one feel cared for.

This place is pure relaxation and calmness. Surrounded by green rolling hills, sheep and cattle, and mountain views in the distance, it’s the place to get away from it all! The room was lovely and breakfast selection was great. The hosts were most welcoming! Would definetely stay here again!

Immaculate room, well equipped with good quality china and bedding . Very comfortable bed. Great shower and toiletries. Peaceful location only a few minutes drive from Taihape. Delicious range of cereals, fruit, yogurt and preserves for breakfast . Leah’s home baking offered a welcome cake treat each day.

Nothing we did not like.

The weather!

The room was spacious and impeccably clean; the host was super warm and welcoming and the food provided for breakfast was copious and varied. Loved the country location too!

There was nowhere comfortable to sit - just the bed or the dining chairs. We arrived quite early so weren't as comfortable as we'd have liked.

This is an amazing place to stay - the room is very spacious with great views and Leah the host very welcoming. It was exceptionally keen and everything had been set out beautifully.

Hopwood is amazing! A wonderful experience to enjoy quiet NZ countryside. The location is perfectly nestled in the hills and provides an excellent launching point to see many features (national parks, river cafes, waterfalls) and so much more. It's also exceptionally peaceful for great relaxation and taking a pause. The spot and the hosts are absolutely the best!
