Guests highly rate the excellent service and frequently praise the great location near the beach.
USFrancesca was very kind and welcoming to us. She accommodated our breakfast needs, kept our room very clean and she changed our towels after two days. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much! Good food surrounding the location too :)
NLThe host is very friendly, the beach is really close
Nothing
GBHost was really helpful offering warm hospitality. About 15 minutes walk from centre of soverato.
Sea view was a side view
CAThe property was so clean and close to the beach! Absolutely loved it
A little too far from all the amenities!
CAWe enjoyed our breakfast and were offered great variety. Francesca was friendly and very accommodating. She even went so far as to carry our heavy luggage into our room which was totally unnecessary but much appreciated!
IT
GBEverything was new and clean. Francesca was very sweet and answered quickly. The room has shades so for those who like darkness (like we do) it was very good. The breakfast was great! Air conditioning worked really well, so room was cool and comfortable. Very close to the beach, which was a plus!
Nothing really. I prefer a different kind of pillow, but that is just preference, there was nothing wrong with the ones she offered (and she asked if we wanted more pillows, which we said no).
IEModern renovated building. We had 2 separate bedrooms to accommodate 2 adults & 2 teenagers which was extremely practical. Both rooms were spacious, bright, modern, clean and nicely furnished. Mini fridge in room and bottles of water provided. The host Francesca was a lovely lady, very available and helpful and provided us with tips on good local restaurants and bars etc. She also welcomed us with a bowl of local fruits with were delicious. Food served at breakfast was good quality. Clothes airer provided for hanging swim suits.
Wifi connection was intermittent in one of the bedrooms which whilst not catastrophic, was annoying. Our room was situated on the ground floor so whilst it is true that the building is sea front, being on the ground floor meant that our view was extremely limited. The sea could be partially seen via the bedroom windows but not when sitting outside. This was a huge disappointment. If sitting outside, space is extremely limited and we were facing a concrete wall and iron railing which was covered for privacy reasons. This completely eliminated even a partial view of the sea. One of the reasons we chose this B&B was for the sea views. There is no breakfast room. Breakfast was served at the table outside our room. This was a tiny table and us 4 adults were expected to sit, completely squashed at this table, between 2 concrete walls, a tiny space. This is not easy in the July Calabrian sun because this area was not shaded in the morning. The host provided a parasol but it did not offer enough shade to cover 4 adults. Breakfast for 4 was served on a tray. No room for plates, cups, glasses etc. The breakfast situation was extremely disappointing and we started off our day in bad humour as a result. The building is located adjacent to a railway line. During the day we were not there but in the early hours of the morning we were woken up by the noise of the passing trains which would make us jump from our sleep. The B&B is located 15 mins walk from Soverato Marina and we chose it also for this reason. We did not want to take the car in the evenings. Unfortunately, most of the road did not have a footpath. The road was a busy one so walking even in single file was dangerous. It would be hazardous for those with small children, buggies, older people. Unless you are willing to walk on the main road, without footpath, walking to Soverato is not really an option and the car is necessary. It was particularly dangerous returning to the B&B because it was dark.
USYou couldn't ask for amore friendly or accommodating host. Francesca brought the most amazing Italian breakfast everyday. She advised us of great restaurants in the area and her son and daughter assisted us with english translation whenever necessary. The beach is only steps away from the property to a beautiful sandy area. We made new friends in Italy!
