Ballimore Farm Estate - House with heated pool

We stayed as a group of three families—6 adults and 5 kids—and had an absolutely wonderful time at this vacation home in the middle of Ballimore. The house was spacious enough to accommodate all of us comfortably, with beautifully decorated rooms that made us feel right at home. The kitchen and pantry were impressively well-equipped, allowing us to easily prepare meals for our large group. From the warm welcome with whiskey to the detailed tour of the house, everything was thoughtfully arranged. The private swimming pool was a highlight, enjoyed equally by adults and kids. Though it’s in the middle of nowhere, it’s the perfect getaway to disconnect and unwind. The cozy fireplace added to the charm, especially during the evenings. We had a wonderful stay overall, but there are a few suggestions that could make the experience even better for future guests: The door handles were quite tight, and one of our little ones accidentally got locked in the toilet, causing some panic. Loosening them slightly could be helpful, especially for families with children. While we enjoyed the peaceful location, shopping options were quite far away. The nearest Tesco is a 45-minute drive, so advance planning for supplies is essential. Including this information in the welcome details would help guests prepare better. The pool usage cost us an additional £150 during winter. While we were happy to use it, it would have been much better if this cost had been clearly communicated when we enquired about it multiple times during the booking process. Toiletries like toilet paper and shower gel were limited for a 5-night stay, and we had to purchase additional supplies. Similarly, the wood logs provided for the fireplace were not sufficient for the entire duration and had to be purchased from the hosts at an extra cost. A more generous supply of these essentials would be greatly appreciated. These are minor points, and they didn’t overshadow our enjoyable time here.
