Very different experience, living on water.

Possibly a better mattress.

We didn't stay. The location put us off, and the photos and description of the accomodation were misleading. Although what we saw looked clean, we changed our plans to stay somewhere more accessible and to our taste.

Lovely cosy little place. Clean n tidy. Had everything you need. It was gr8 to sit on the dock in sunshine with a glass of vino. Gr8 to see poeple running the loop the next morning from the property. Having a tv in the bedroom and the lounge area was much appreciated.

It could be cold in the winter months as it's not totally sealed. It would be nice to have a safe to lock your important items away while your out. The bed dipped in the middle a little

Loved the deck with the hanging chair where I sat with my glass of wine and watched the rain fall. The whole property was spacious enough and well set out/equipped. Location was good but needed car to get to shops & groceries. It turned out to be one of the most novelty/interesting places we've stayed

Nothing, it was great!

The swing chair overlooking the water was lovely and we enjoyed watching the sunset. It would be nice if they could fit a second one. The owners communicated well and provided very detailed instructions for arrival. The walk path is great and relatively close to the main part of town.

The boat house was a neat experience for one night, but I would not have wanted to stay there longer or as a solo traveller. The location is in a warehouse area and was very noisy at night as it was next to a main road. Agree with another comment that the skylight in the bedroom should be covered so the sunlight doesn’t wake you up at 6 in the morning - our sleep was not the best. The place was tidy but the couch/living area was small and awkward due to the layout. The coffee had not been restocked and this was the first place I have been to in NZ that did not include actual milk in the fridge.

Very cool, different but relaxing, location was easy walk into the town basin

The skylight in the bedroom would be good if you could cover it so the sunlight doesn’t wake you up in the morning

Such a unique location on the river

It was quirky and unique. The owner made a cozy spot out of a utilitarian boathouse. While sketchy from the outside, it was pleasant and clean and comfy inside. Loved the breeze and being so close to the tidal play!

I lost the initial instructions about getting in and with 1 percent on my phone battery and a late arrival, it took awhile to get the code for the door. Also no stove, just a hot plate, air fryer(?) and a microwave. Once in, all good…
