A bit cold in the lounge area but we could have relocated the heater from the bedroom to the lounge area

Great location central to town . Very scenic and a walking bike track right outside the door

The hot shower needs a pressure boost.

Very good location, quiet at night, clean and organised. Interesting to see tide go in and out. The property was on the Hatea river walkway and very close to the basin - easy to walk there on the flat with no roads to cross. Good cafe the other way.

The weather was very cold and the lounge area was drafty and therefore not comfortable temeperature wise. The windows and doors (slatted) were not sealed. The bedroom was easy to heat with the heater provided

Awesome quirky little property! Great views from the decking. Loved sitting on the hanging chair reading and watching the world go by. Great kitchen facilities.

Only one downside was living area was a bit cold in winter as it’s not fully sealed from outside. But plenty of blankets and the bedroom is self contained and lovely and warm so wasn’t an issue for us. Just something to be aware of.

Loved this boathouse! It's right over the water and is a terrific quirky conversion of what was probably once a working boatshed, to very comfortable, cosy accommodation! Had everything we needed. Loved the outdoor deck over the water with views of the central part of town across the river. I thought it might be a bit noisy, but at night it was just fine! We'd love to come back! Great directions with directions to nearby parking. Hosts quickly responded to my query about tsunami risk as NZ was in an alert situation - sure enough, it was just fine!

Can't think of anything! Everything was clean and they had really thought about small details for travelers.
