The House of Rising Sun

This was our second stay here (again between one ferry and another). Everything was OK. This time we had some time to look around the neighbourhood - friendly and far from crowds. The owner let us stay a few hours longer, which was really helpful. Perfect!

Good accommodation in a quiet street close to the sea. Good facilities.

La Jaca was too small and remote for my needs as I was on foot. There was one grocery shop and a coffee shop but the nearest restaurant most days was a 3 mile walk away. You really need a hire car to stay here. I was disappointed that when I arrived at the agreed time, there was nobody there and it took over an hour to obtain entry.

Spot on location at a reasonable price. We enjoyed the tranquil village. In the property, we found everything we needed, kitchen utensils, WiFi, washing machine...

Perhaps provide some washing powder for the washing machine?

Good central location, large and spacious, integrated into village life, detergent and shower gel available, nice shower, large couch, right on the street, short walk to the supermarket

A little dark in the kitchen in winter, a lamp would be helpful. When you lie in bed as a couple you always meet your partner in the middle.

Clean and nice place, far from the hustle and bustle of touristy towns. Cat friendly. Recommended!

- very uncomfortable beds - no towels for the kitchen - ventilation in the bath room not working - bathroom smells moldy, like a cellar - no duvet cover for extra duvet - wanted an extra pillow, found one in the wardrobe, it was full of stains - the curtains in the bedroom are translucent, the lights from the streets shine in, therefore it is not really dark - there are a lot of cracks in the walls, especially in the small bedroom and bathroom, the furniture is also not in best shape, could use a renovation - also the place was not properly clean, under the bed it was full of dust - also the walls seem to be very thin, heard everything from the neighbours, very noisy, so too much light and noise = bad sleep

Awful place. The building is of extremely bad quality, no sound insulation at all. There are noisy neighbours, howling dogs, we slept only 5 hours due to the noise. There is a hole between the entrance door and the floor so you can hear people shouting 3 streets away. The mattresses on the beds are extremely uncomfortable and old. It is completely overpriced and it was an extremely bad experience for us.

Very clean apartment in small village. Excellent contact with host. downstairs: kitchen, living room and bathroom. Upstairs: bedroom with balcony. I recommend if you want to live in a quiet place without many tourists.

We smelled the sewage pipes sometimes.

The host was amazing and probably the most helpful host ever! The accommodation was exactly where I needed it to be and fully equipped.
