Tamcoc Mr. Cau Homestay

Great homestay! The family is very nice and helpful and even drove us to the bus station after booking the sleeper bus through them. The breakfast is good and you can book a bicycle or a scooter through them. The location was perfect as it is in a side alley and therefore quiet but still central.

Unfortunately, we only had hot water the first day.

We enjoyed our two-nights stay at Mr. Cau. We had to ask how to get to the place (situated in a back alley), but the businesses around pointed us in the right direction. Very kind and helpful landlady with a good level of English. The rooms come with huge beds and are clean. Breakfast was ample and tasty. We took the bikes offered by the homestay and made it quite far on them, given the one gear :)

If you really want to feel real l vietnamese vibe this is the place to be.Simple clean and lovely pool .Value for money .I recommend it to low budget travellers who just need a sleep while touring the place.

The facility is always around, you don't have privacy

This is a lovely homestay, with everything you need. The room is big and clean, with really nice bedding and comfy pillows. There is air con as well as a fan. The pool is very clean and is regularly swept throughout the day - it's a perfect way to escape the heat of the day! The location is excellent, on a quiet back street behind the main street but only a few minutes walk away from amenities. We were able to rent bikes off them for 40k per bike per day and had a great day cycling around. You order breakfast the night before and you have a big selection of food as well as drinks, and you can pick your time between 7.30 and 11am which is great for if you would like a lie in! The family are really nice and do what they can to make you feel welcome. They also do laundry as well which is very helpful.

The decor of the bathroom is a little old but it was large and very clean. There was always plenty of hot water too so don't let the decor put you off! It is excellent value for the price

Very good location, near to city centre. Despite that it's quite there. Host was very helpful and kind. You can expect to see whole family there :) Very good breakfast.

Toilet flushing might be tricky and it doesn't work perfectly.

This was amazing value for money. The owner (Tuyet) was so friendly and accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed. Centrally located on an alleyway, so quiet at night. The room was spacious and clean. The pool was great to cool off in. Breakfast was also fantastic and tasty, with many options!
