Merci à Ali et sa maman pour leur accueil, personnes sympa, disponible à tout moment. Chambre spacieuse, équipements nécessaires bien disponible et un bon petit déj. Emplacement bien placé.

Frühstück, Lage, alles perfekt

We were picked up by Ali at the parking place Ain Azliten which is close to his house in the Medina. Without him it would have been almost impossible finding the place just being guided by Google. The apartment is on first floor of one of the oldest houses of Meknes, 400 years we were told by Ali. Everything is very authentic and historic, the steep stairs upwards, the tiles on the floor and the shutters on the windows. Although there is no glass in the windows, the thick walls keep the room surprisingly warm. Nevertheless, we got a heater and a hair dryer brought which we have appreciated. Since the house was in a little side street, it was deadly silent at night and absolutely dark in the room. Very good to sleep. The moroccan style breakfast was served by Ali and his mother who were the good souls of the apartment. Ali was availale any time and ready to help whenever help was needed. Shucran! We gave the room a score of 8 although it's basic and not so fancy equipped and decorated as other Riads in the Medina but we liked its authenticity and athmosphere. Others may decide themselves.

The bathroom is as found in many of the moroccan accommodation. Shower and toilette are not separated so that everything is wet after using the shower. As this is found often we wan't complain.
