An unbelievably amazing hotel, surrounded by jungle, nature, and wild animals, with direct access to the ocean—and best of all, no crowds of tourists. It’s the perfect place to relax and reconnect with the natural world around you. I’d also like to highlight the hotel staff separately: an amazing team—very friendly and truly customer-oriented.

Peaceful retreat surrounded by lush nature and just steps from a quiet, beautiful beach. The cottages are stylish and serene, and daily yoga, spa treatments, and a natural pond create a truly relaxing atmosphere. The Sama team were incredible and helped with any query/request we had. The room was so beautifully done and very comfortable. The hotel feels very natural with so much wildlife. The food was incredible and the activities we did felt very intimate and hand picked. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone wanting to relax and unwind while connecting to the local culture and scenery

It was such a lovely surprise. Sama Retreats is a hidden gem in a lush tropical garden. The beach was amazing as well. The staff was great. Everyone was so nice and helpful, they tried their best to satisfy all our wishes and they did not fail. Will certainly come back! Thank you Sama for a wonderful week!!

"Reconnecting with yourself at Sama Retreats"

Amazing stay at Sama Retreats, an absolutely stunning hotel, although the word doesn’t do it justice. It is a holistic compound, where you can truly relax and reconnect with nature and yourself. It is beautifully designed and furnished and is full of places to contemplate. The staff is wonderfully considerate and generous, and the whole experience is one of laidback luxury.

"5* service and facilities in a perfect location"

Our 1st time in Sri Lanka and Sama did not disappoint. Set on the coast within amazing gardens which allowed nature to thrive alongside…coconut crabs,monkeys,mongoose the list goes on…it was a real retreat with excellent facilities. Our hideaway was just that, authentic whilst having that 5* attention to detail and the staff were outstanding …the mixologist may have been our favourite 😆 The food all freshly prepared using the highest quality ingredients….we are already planning our next stay!
