Hallway light didn't work - had to buy a new bulb. Bathroom fan heater didn't work - wouldn't turn on and couldn't get to fix (pull cord stuck). Bedside light in one bedroom didn't work - daughter had to use a headtorch to read. Had to wash down verandah table and chairs of moss and bird shit, as clearly hadn't been done.
GBGBGBThe location was fabulous, and the living area (dining/lounge/kitchen) was very good and comfortable, with a great view. You can walk from the site up into the nature reserve, which was stunning, especially as it was snowing! It's a peaceful site and the bar/restaurant looked nice.
There were some problems with the main bathroom and one of the twin bedrooms (things not working/broken) and generally those rooms were in need of some tlc compared to the living area and double en suite room, which were definitely of a higher standard. We reported some of these issues to the manager/owner, especially when some window frame edging fell off, the shower leaked, the heater didn't work, some lamps weren't working. The first response was to shrug off the issues, saying they were 'unaware'. To be honest comms with the manager/owner seemed unfriendly, and although we eventually got an acknowledgement that they would repair things and sort the issues out, there was no apology for our less than perfect experience. Not sure how the previous rating was 9.6?
GBGBThe accomodarion waa beautiful, the views were spectacular (even during the unexpected weather warning, the snow just made it even more beautiful!). Perfect accomodation, perfect location, perfect host. Highly recommend!!
GBGreat location. Lodge very comfortable and well equipped. Lots of varied walks and were lucky to get brilliant weather so managed a swim in the Loch.

GBGBGBThe lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. The beds and sheets are really comfortable. The furnishings are high quality. The kitchen must be quite new and is very well equipped. The location is excellent for exploring the area.
