O.B oemah bone homestay

We’ve stayed for more than 2 weeks and it was a great experience. The location is perfect to explore the island, but it is quiet enough to feel peaceful and safe. Pool is great and staff is extremely friendly and accommodative. The owner helped us to rent a bike as well. Kitchen is well equipped and we used it everyday, it is very convenient. Light cleaning was almost everyday, which is very comfortable.

It would be great to clean rooms a little bit more carefully and to bleach the mold in the shower at least one time in a week since it grows constantly. Our room #4 was a little bit noisy due to the air conditioner outside the wall and refrigerator, but we got used to it. Better to have earplugs to ensure your good sleep

Our unit felt very welcoming and looked like the pictures. It had a very comfy bed, hot shower, good ac, water dispenser, big fridge, electric hotplate, 2 cooking pans, a chopping board and sufficient knives, cutlery and crockery for two people - we really enjoyed being able to prepare our own food. The owner was very friendly and had no problem with us extending our stay (although we did stay in low season). The location was fantastic - within 5mins walk of a street full of restaurants, shops, spas and bars, within 10mins walk of the beach, but also tucked away so very quiet. The pool was also very refreshing!

There was sometimes a whiff of drains in the ensuite, but the extractor fan in there mostly kept on top of it and the smell didn't permeate into other areas of the apartment.

The location

Stayed here for 3 nights. First night I was in the room called Wishnu. I should have left right away when I entered. It smelled very bad but I thought it might go away. In the evening when I entered the bathroom it was worse. Flies, mold and another bad and very strong odor. When opening the water in the sink, another bad smell hit my face. I kind of endured one night in the room because I had stomach cramps and migraine. The next day I've asked to change, which Wayan immediately did. He was nice and helpful. 2nd room was better, but sheets and towels smell old. If it wasn't for the first room, I would have given a better rating, but it's a crime to even consider renting out this nasty room.

Down a few alleys but not too far from the Main Street. Cute little Homestay, pool with full sun and adorable rooms. Staff were lovely - would definitely stay again!
