Ashcroft Apartment - Small Home Away From Home

The place was spotlessly clean, cosy and had everything you'd need for a few days away. Including good quality cutlery rather than flimsy cheap stuff. It looks like it might be hard to find on Google maps satellite view but with the useful 'what3words' from the owners, and a clear visible house name it's no problem. We spoke briefly to the owners who seemed lovely. They were also very accommodating after we had a delayed journey. We didn't cook while there but easily could have, and there was a collection of longer life products either provided or left by previous guests (sugar, a few herbs and spices, oils and the like). And everything was in good working order as well as clean. Good strong reliable WiFi signal. (As stated there's no TV so if you intend to watch, bring something to watch on). We didn't venture much into the village but it looks nice, has a good mix of pubs, restaurants, convenience stores and other shops, and a petrol station just round the corner too. And the bottle of wine was a lovely touch, and who doesn't love under floor heating. Thanks for a great stay.

For 2 nights we were fine but if staying longer hanging space may be an issue for some. But there was drawer space, and coat hooks by the door. The road is a bit snug at the start which some nervous drivers may find intimidating but take it slow and you'll be fine. We were pre warned the drive was steep so we're grateful for that. Worth considering if you have mobility issues. But again nothing to complain about. Just have a reliable handbrake and leave in gear to be on the safe side. Even if it doesn't seem clear at first,, the advice of where is best to park from the owners will make sense when you arrive and see the drive.

We were greeted by our hosts who took time out of their evening to wait for us. The apartment is right next to the house but there was no noise or anything to be heard. It offered everything we needed.

This is really a little home away from home! Clean, tidy and elegantly decorated. All amenities were available and in perfect condition, which made the house easy to run. We appreciated the privacy and the small patio. The hosts were kind, helpful and generous.We highly recommend this accommodation to people who visit this beautiful part of England.
