USUSHänsel and Gretel's Hideaway is perched almost at the top of Beech Mountain and is very close to the ski resort. It is a cute and cozy end-unit on the second floor of a 3 floor condo complex. The unit has had renovations done to update the interior. The beds, especially, were extremely comfortable. The host was very responsive, and addressed a minor issue we faced on arrival extremely quickly which was appreciated. We enjoyed hiking on the Emerald Outback Trails located 6minutes drive from unit. We also enjoyed exploring the towns of Banner Elk, NC and Blowing Rock, NC. We recommend Holy Smokes BBQ in the town of Beech Mountain - the pulled pork is delicious. It should be noted that since the unit is at the top of a mountain, the access drive is very steep and curvy and roads are narrow.
