Maison Manendra - Bromo

Lovely hosts, they know the area very well so they can tell you which hikes are the best! We did one hike at Bromo and didn’t see anyone until the end point. Also their home-cooked meals are very good! We loved staying here!

Die Unterkunft war sehr familiär, man fühlt sich wie Zuhause. Man isst mit der Familie zusammen zu Abend, das war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung um aus seiner Komfortzone zu kommen. Die Familie ist sehr sehr lieb und freundlich. Wir haben uns 100% wohl gefühlt ❤️❤️

Accueil très chaleureux, idéal pour faire l’excursion du mont bromo à l’inverse des touristes ce qui est super. Oussama et Rani sont super et pourront vous parlez en détails de la région. Repas conviviaux et délicieux.

Great location for those looking to get off the beaten path in the Bromo area. Very quiet area (save for the mosques, but that is common throughout most of Indonesia) and very beautiful surroundings!! Room exceeded expectations. Large, clean, tall ceilings, balcony, windows, hot/cold shower, large bathroom with fan. Upstairs is an awesome covered, but open air rooftop. Great for hanging out and for enjoying the home-cooked meals. Meals are varied, affordable, and delicious! Rani and Oussama (owners) were wonderful, as was the rest of the staff. They were warm, inviting, informational, and always went above and beyond. They organized transport from Malang for arrival and to Surabaya for departure. They organized a ride to Tempak Sewuh waterfall and provided some important insight on where to go once there. They organized a unique Mt. Bromo tour that was incredibly beautiful and private - at our viewpoint, we only had ~5 others with us; on our hike (HIGHLY recommend), we saw no one until we reached the main Bromo area.

Ontbijt was wat karig. Hadden wel iets meer verwacht. Zeker als je t vergelijkt met het avondeten.

Honestly I have no complains. It was raining a lot when we were there but it adds on to the location’s coziness.

This is a must visit, an absolute gem! Everything was exceptional, the food was amazing with fresh tropical fruit, bread, fresh veg, rice, noodles, fresh coffee all home made or from their garden. The hosts are a lovely family who are so welcoming with lovely children. We went up Mount Bromo and did a 26k run which worked very well. You can also do a walk of about 15k which is beautiful. We also visited a waterfall nearby which we also ran to. Rani organises everything for you, driver and any national park entry all at a local price. They also organise your pick up and drop off from Malang or Surabaya airports again for a local price. Cannot recommend enough!

Views were nice and room was really pretty and clean. Really warm and welcoming homestay owners too.
