Tom's Place Guest House

We forgot to book and ask about the breakfast time, so we did not have it at the guest house. The location was well situated and near the wedding venue and the owner recommended a reliable car service.

We missed having matches or a lighter to start a fire in the log burner. Wood and blits were given.

I liked the secured facility, safe neighborhood and great proximity to stores, offices and gas stations. Also liked the privacy of my room since i was staying for a week, was nice to have my space.

I did not like that the kitchenette did not have a small sink. Its a hygiene concern for me to have to wash a cup in the bathroom sink. The closet had one hanger. We at least 5 for basic needs. The curtain to to the front door was dirty. The bedroom had a large rug that did not always look vacuumed after cleaning services were done. The sheets and pillowcases were not changed for week stay. The bedside lamps did not work. The lighting is very bright at night, now way to have low lighting. The AC worked the first night, then maintenance came to borrow my remote for another guest. When returned two days later i could not turn the AC on at all. It was warm in the heart of summer. The bathroom was the worst, toilet smells like its not cleaned even after cleaners finish. It smelled bad all the time! The shower smelled bad The towels were old and unmatched. Id be ok with that but they were never changed for my entire stay. They fold them dirty and put them on your bed. There are tiny bllack ants in the bathroom all the time. They get into your toiletries.

Cottage wasn't equipped for 4 people no cups glasses etc the rug on the floor had a smashed glass under tge carpet!!!could not have been cleaned the plugs to use were totally unsafe no soaps in bathrooms air conditioner weren't working either x

It wasn’t clean, there was a smell. The shower had mould, the carpet had stains and it smelled bad.
